Compliment

This is fast becoming my new favourite local. The landlord is a very lovely and friendly chap, keen to talk and be of service. The staff are all very nice and efficient and I got try a range of beverages last night.
The food is excellent, with everything from whitebait to steak (onglet with snail butter) on the menu, and olives and crisps available at the bar. Food is available every night of the week, and roasts are on at the weekend.
This pub has completely been overhauled, cleaned down and recreated since The Jack Beards closed. It's an excellent gastropub with a strong belief in its freehouse status, with Mocha Stout and various ales on tap.
Most notable was the Bloody Bull; a Bloody Mary with beef stock in it. There's also a spicy extra secret ingredient to give it a nice kick.
Quiz with cash prize from 8pm on Tuesdays.
Peroni £3.30; small wine £2.75; Bloody Mary £5.50.
