The Golden Grill is a well maintained kebab house. It is unpretentious and fast-serving and it gets the job done. On the plus side: the kebabs are awesome, and largely very cheap. You shouldn't need to spend more than a fiver to get a huge kebab and chips on the side.

Eating in is a good experience too, with a mezze platter of pitta and olives thrown in for free. There is a toilet somewhere out the back, but it's not that clean, so avoid if possible.

The only downside to this place is that the local "nightlife" is constantly in and out, and there are always "characters" about. However, the staff are very vigilant, and I've never had a bad experience in there, just occasionally a nervous one.
