Shakespeares is a lovely little pub situated just opposite Festival Square. The prices on their food are quite good, the quality of the food is always excellent and the service is great. One of my favourite lunch time stops.

The Shakespeares is a great little pub that has recently had a make over.

My friends and I often go in here as a starting point to the night where we all meet up and have a few drinks before deciding what to do next.

Having said that, it is also a good place to go if you want to watch the footie, it has plenty of screens and plenty of friendly punters.

The only thing I would say is that since the make over I have seen a slight increase in prices - however only a small one and certainly not enough to put me off!!

I like Shakespeares a lot, its dead handy as a meeting place for after work with some mates. On Monday - Thursday they do 2 for 1 on the food menu which is great for when I meet mates and the food is actually quite nice which always seems to surprise me in pubs!

The staff are generally quite nice and the place has a good atmosphere. They show all major sporting games and have plenty of seating. Also a juke box and games machines aswell.

The toilets are not the nicest though but they are clean enough.

Its a good central place for a drink after work or for a starting point on a night out!
