I love unassuming places and this is one of them. Housed in an old chocolate factory, (along with the Menier art gallery and theatre), this restaurant is one of a kind. The vibe is very relaxed, creative and fairly quiet, and perfect for a couple of small group of people to have dinner and hear themselves speak! The wait staff are good, but don't keep hovering over your table, so you actually feel a sense of privacy.
The food is fantastic - from the starters to the mains, to the dessert (try the chocolate brownie of course)! All for a very reasonable price as well.
I recommend waiting until the theatre crowds have gone at 8pm, however, otherwise it's a much busier place!
