Chessington is an amazing park for younger kids! Some of the rides are for little kids, some are for the middle aged kids and there is a couple of rides for the older kids. Here are some rides for each age group:
little kids = the swings that go round and round and the dodgems.
middle aged kids = dragons fury, vampire, rattlesnake.
older kids = Ramasus revenge, rattlesnake, vampire, dragons fury.
There are also rides for all ages e.g. the overhead train and bubble works. Bubble works is an amazing ride that takes you round a place full of thing to do with ducks. It is a very amusing water ride.
There is also some attractions such as a childrens zoo and you are able to touch and stroke pigs and goats and chickens. Then there is also other animals that you can look at but not go near for your own safety. There is also a huge aquarium with baby sharks, fish, sea horses, an octopus, rays, stingrays and lots more sea creatures. This is why Chessington is a great place to go!

chessington is a brilliant family theme park. although the rides are not as exciting as thorpe park, they are still great fun to go on. i would really recommend however going at a time when there will not be very many people otherwise queuing for hours can get very boring. with kids rides such as bubbleworks its a great place to take the whole family on a day out.

chessington world of adventure is a great theme park with a mini zoo but the prices of admission could be a little better as me personally find them abit steep.
The theme park its self is set up in 9 diffrent sections and in all sections they have fantastic rides.
I would advise anyone who goes to take a packed lunch as the prices for things are way to expensive but i suppose if you dont mind paying for it then its ok.
The only thing that really let the trip down was that the staff who worked there were misrable and looked as though they didnt want to work there which was a shame.
The park itself was clean and tidy but i dont think it was worth travelling that far for.

There can’t be many people who have not heard of Chessington World of Adventure. It is a big theme park with lots of rides and also a small zoo.
Some of the bigger rides like the vampire roller coaster have long queues, so in peak season, you could find yourself spending more time queueing than actually going on the rides. If you plan your time carefully, you can go on rides without such long queues during the middle of the day and go on the rides that tend to have bigger queues either when the park first opens or in the last half hour before it closes, when there tend to be less people around.
It is an ideal place to go for a day out with children. If you are intending to go, my advice would be to have a look around on the internet before you go, as you are quite likely to be able to find a voucher for kids go free or buy one get one free.

Aww Chesington, everyone who goes there seemingly wants to go to that far off mystical place known as Alton Towers but are told by there parents, “No, it’s too far! Your’e going to Chessington’s instead” That said, Chessington’s is a pretty cool park with some classic rides. The Vampire is far scarier now that they have made it faster and Ramasese Revenge will always stay in my mind for it’s mind stomach bending craziness. But if you want thrills try the classic Pirate ship and sit at the back…..is that flimsy rail enough? BLEEURGH!

My friend and I enjoy Chessington as it is a bit more low key than Alton towers and generally feels a bit less hectic. Also its a bit more conveniently located for us. We are also able to take advantage of 2 for one offers so that makes it better value for us.
When I was younger I really enjoyed Vampire and Professor Burps bubble works (now bubble works Imperial Leather - which is just a tad weird for me) never understood why that was in Transylvania though!
I think the beano themed attractions are quite sweet too.
This really is a theme park most enjoyed by children and teens, but if you want a light hearted theme park experience that is not so in your face it’s a good choice.

If Alton Towers is for adults, and Thorpe Park for the teens then Chessington, World of Adventure is definately for the family. Part zoo, part theme park it hasn’t got the heart stopping rides of Alton Towers but it does have a large amount of rides for all ages. Ranging from the log flumes of Dragon’s River to the hang down coaster The Vampire. Though to be honest it’s not the scariest of coasters, so even those who normally don’t like them should be able to sit on that one.
The Zoo holds a range of exotic animals including Pengiuns, various birds of prey, and an excellent monkey section. Though the star attraction has probably always been the gorillas. To be honest though the Zoo section has shrunk over the years against the competition of the rides, but that is largely to do with the Park being unable to expand as it’s on green belt land.
There’s plenty of places to eat and drink including a McDonalds to a Pizza hut, though if your on a budget you’ll want to bring your own food as it’s all over priced. You could easily blow close to £3 on a large drink. There is also a pub hidden away near the central square for the adults.

Great theme park for families., Whereas I would say thorpe park has a teenage feel, chessington is arghuably for slightly younger children
The zoo is really good containing tigers, lions, and my favourites the gorilla’s. Sea Life is also in chessington and you can enter free once in the park
Rides are diverse and include a really good 3d haunted house with men jumping out to frighten you (not good for those less than 4). Most of the other rides including the Vampire roller coaster were accessed by my 10 yr old who is of small to medium height. Young ones can be entertained with sit on diggers and various other rides around the park. Cafe Nero and various burger places, KFCs and restaurants can be found regularly as you travel through the park.
The toilets are very clean and the park is really well kept and presented. Parking is totally free and just a few hundred yards away

A lovely zoo and adventure park for the kids. We particularly liked the safari train ride which travels above the park and gives you a great birds eye view of all the animals. We saw beautiful lions, tigers (and cubs), leopards, sealions, penguins….. There’s also a sea life section and kiddies farm. We also appreciated the copious rides for the very small kids as well as the more grown up ones.

This is a fantastic park for younger children. My kids are teenagers and have long out grown this theme park. The queues can be quite long in school holidays but if you can go during the week when the kids are at school it is fantastic. There are plenty of things to do and see evening if the kids don’t do the bigger rides. There is a good supply of eateries here. They do tend to be a little pricy but you could always take a picnic and put it in one of the lockers. The park is well laid out and pretty. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as there is so much walking to be done. A really good fun day out.

Chessington is a good day out for younger children. I’d avoid driving as traffic jams can be awful outside - there is a railway station not two far away and lots of people use this to get to the park. Inside parts look rather worn out but the zoo is worth a look (if you are happy about animals in captivity). The park is expensive but offers can usually be found. There is a new large Holiday Inn hotel next door if you have the budget for it – or a cheaper Premier Inn on the other side of the park. Plenty of the usual food is available if you like pizzas and burgers – two Café Neros provide an adult escape.

I love Chessington! It really is fun for the entire family, I love a relaxing walk around the zoo which is lovely and then off for some adventure! The rides are all good although like any theme park it does get really busy in the summer months but I have to say everything is worth the wait.

General Comments
Every summer, my dad, sister and I go to Chessington and have some great fun. It was just as good this year. Some of the best rides include…
VAMPIRE- A swinging roller coaster ride that makes your legs dangle through.
DRAGON’S FURY- A spinning roller coaster, for those that are not afraid of dragons!
BILLY’S WHIZZER- A Chair-O-Plane ride that sprays you with water.
DRAGON FALL’S- The best ride in the park, a water ride that takes you through a dragon and down a rushing waterfall!
TOMB BLASTER- Want to zap mummes and curses with a laser gun?
FOOD- Although this is not a ride, the food choices are very wide. For the last couple of years, Dad and I go to the KFC, while my sister goes to the Pizza Hut.
Final advice?- Go. You definitely won’t regret it.

Fantastic place for families with young children. It’s best to go out of season as the queues can get very long during the summer holidays. Children (and adults ) can do a vast range of things such as pride on the dodgem cars, riding the rapids, shoot the baddies and much more. Food is reasonably priced but is worth taking a packed lunch to eat as you wait for rides. There are always discount tickets about so there is no need to pay full price. Check the newspapers, cereal boxes and internet for discounts… Take your waterproof for some of the rides. Have fun.

Good place to go for a day out with the family but not for a group of friends. Great doughnuts and sealife

fun place to go for a day out but would suggest you look around for buy one get one free as it is very expensive to go here now. There are plenty of rides to go on and there is also the Zoo where you will see Lions, Tigers, Gorillas, Chimps, Sealions, Meerkats, birds of prey, parrots etc.

Chessington is quite good for a nice family day out.
I went with my family and cousins and a few friends. It is a bit childish, but still full of fun things to do. They have a Zoo and lots of cool rides.
If you are interested in going there, I suggest that you take food and drink with you as the prices in the park are considerably higher than you would pay on the high street.
If you are a hardcore thrill seeker, I suggest that you go to Alton Towers.

Well this place has it all. Incorparting a zoo within the adventure park there really is something for everyone. The Rides at the are a mixture of your fast scary rolllarcoaster through to nice easy toddler rides. This to me makes it more appealing and if you do decide you want to take it easy you can wonder around the zoo and sea life centre. There is a wide mixture of animals that you can see and even walk around with (the monkeys being examples), but not only this you can even see feeding time and assist with the feed. All in all this can be very expensive day out once you add ticket cost, food, drink and any trinkets you wish to buy and as this place can get very very busy i would suggest you would need more than one day to visit

We had a big family day at Chessington as there are lots of children of varying ages. We had a great time - plenty to do for everyone, but mainly the kids. I love the big rides and if these are your thing, you will be disappointed with Chessington as it’s more aimed at younger children. However, there are some great rides like Professor Burp’s Bubbleworks.
If thrill rides are what you are after, you are better off visiting Thorpe Park nearby.

Very good day, it was fun but it could of had bigger thrill rides.
Good Rides. Vampire, Dragons Fury, Blackbeards Boat.
This place is more suitable for the younger generation of people.

I Loved bubble works it’s a real fun place which will put a smile on the little one’s faces.
also the vampire which is really cool! i was to scared to go on it at the time but my sister did and she enjoyed it very much, also not only is it a theme park but a zoo aswell you can get on a high tram kind off ride which is high up and takes you round the hole zoo aswell. its very good for the little one’s and familys. you will most certainly enjoy it.
