Disappointing…the decor is bland. The entire restaurant (and especially the bar area) feels like it was designed by the person who does reception areas of mid-range hotels. Its cold, impersonal, and not comfortable. We ordered from the tapas/small dishes section of the menu…hmmm…picture small dishes, then divide that by half, and then again, and those were the portions. So miniscule that you could barely taste anything. The scallops were lovely, as was the tiny tiny piece of veal. The lamb was nice, and the halibut was OK…but the BLT martini was probably the worst thing I have ever eaten (tiny tiny pieces of bacon on top of a red gelatin (tomato?), green frothy broth (lettuce?) - wow, it was awful. The quail was the size of a human pinky. Avoid these…
The staff were super nice, and I got a tour of the kitchen after our meal (we sat at the bar). Overall, completely forgettable, no vibe, and the food was barely passable. Not worth it.
If you want good Gordon Ramsay, go to Petrus

Well this is the first time I have eaten at one of Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant and after this visit hopefully it won’t be the last. On entering the restaurant the experience was a pleasure, not what i had expected initially with a modern cafe bar type atmosphere (not stuffy or snotty). On seeing the menu our minds where made up to choose the chefs selection (after all they are paid to know and create the best so go with it). The food was all and more than we could have expected. I can’t recall exactly what I had, but what I can say is it was worth spending that bit more. The surroundings the same, tables, fittings and crockery are not your off the peg bits and bobs, but obviously specialy selected and chosen with the purpose in mind, as with the waiting staff whom make your experience a pleasure. I have eaten at more expensive restaurants (not as often as I would like to though) but to date I think this place is hard to beat. Unfortunatley I don’t think this will restaurant will achieve Michellin star status but that is the fault of the michellin star guidelines not the restaurant. I will look forward to visiting other Ramsey restaurants if this is the standard gained at the others. If you love great food then give this place a try when in London.

Ah yes, Gordon Ramsay's.

It is not my custom to dine in establishments of this kind, so I couldn’t really say how this one compares to other top class restaurants. For me it was more a question of – is it worth it spending 70-80 quid on a meal? (that’s the minimum amount you can expect to spend per person if you come here in the evening, unless you’re not having any wine, but why on earth would you do that to yourself.) My answer to that question is a firm yes. We should all indulge in some Michelin-starred food now and then. Don’t waste your time on those restaurants in the medium price range, eat cheap, save up and go to Gordon Ramsays!

It's not only about the food - which of course, it has to be said, is exquisite (Maze specialises in delicate tasting-sized dishes, each dish is like a little piece of art) - it's about the whole experience. The restaurant itself is exceptionally stylish and elegant - modern, with lots of shiny surfaces, yet friendly and inviting - and the service is just fantastic. The waiters are many and extremely attentive (they keep filling up your wine glass almost after every sip you take), and whether you eat here every week or once in a blue moon they do their best to make it a special occasion for you. No snobbery in sight.

Hmmmm, might come here for lunch sometime. There's a set menu, either about 30 quid for four courses or 40 for 6. Almost cheap! Well, maybe not. But now I'm hooked!
