Great John Street Hotel

Beautiful, just beautiful. Every inch of this hotel is styled to perfection without feeling too stiff and scary.
Staff are kind, helpful and attentive.
The bar is a great place to spend some time. The sofas are deep and comfy, you'll be held captive in them for hours.

This place oozes charm.

Lovely place for a glass of champagne or a cocktail - not stayed here but really like the beautiful bar area. Really well made cocktials at £7.50. They do afternoon tea here too. There is awlays tasteful chilled music coming out from really good quality speakers and the staff are very friendly. Took a mate here for a birthday cocktail and he loved it. The rooms look beautiful and they were doing a Sunday night with breakfast at a bargain £90. Nice to stay here with the wife for intimate night to celebrate Battle Of Agincourt or reenact The Peterloo Massacre on the roof terrace etc (with real horses).If you like proper Boutique hotels this is perfect. Makes Malmaison look like a Travelodge! GO!

This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and luxurios. Not as mainstream as other hotels. Right in the city centre too so near all the sights, shops and bars. The restaurant food is lovely too.

My favourite hotel in Manchester. The rooms are stunning, the food is excellent are the staff are so helpful and friendly. The roof terrace is fab, it has a hot tub, you can also see onto Coronation Street (just)! Has an independent charm about it that the bigger chain hotels don’t. One of the things I love is that you can ring reception and they will bring you a load of DVDs to choose from. Perfect!

One of my favourite hotels. This place is pure luxury. The bed’s are large and so comfortable you won’t want to leave. The decor’s tasteful and modern/romantic. The staff are welcoming but everything was so perfect I didn’t have to ask for anything. Each room has excellent facilities and its own charm and finishing touches. The mezzanine rooms are particularly nice as well as those with twin free standing baths - worth paying the extra for. Well located but you won’t want to leave your room so order in.
Sadly didn’t get to use the hot tub on my stay but gives a good reason to go back!
They have two sister hotels in Didsbury of equally high standard.

A beautiful boutique hotel converted from an old school house. Even the basic rooms are stunning, sometime split-level, with four poster beds, roll top baths in the room, dvd players etc. The hotel bar is beautiful, small but with a very cool gallery area. However prices are extortionate so watch out. The jewel in the crown of this hotel is the roof top bar with hot-tub - ask the staff nicely and they'll make sure its free for you!
