I took my fiance here when we got engaged and it was amazing! Can’t fault the food at all, I had one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. The only downside is that the restaurant is so tiny and we were at the table smack bang in the middle of the room so it wasn’t a very intimate experience with people going around us in all directions. However the food was divine and the service was perfect – attentive but not over the top.
Have always enjoyed my meals at this little gem! It’s very small, which I love. Always had a great experience. Would recommend.

I had an amazing meal here – and for very reasonable prices! Granted, the reasonable prices was because I’m so used to London prices. But for a very central restaurant, the portions were generous, the food was tasty, and the bill wasn’t that bad at all.
Wildfire is a small Scottish restaurant just off Princes Street that specialises in meat (think Aberdeen Angus Steak) and seafood. I had the special of the day, which was a pan fried cod with vegetables in a cream sauce, which was just amazing.
Dessert was good too – my whisky and honey ice cream was some of the best desserts I’ve ever had.
Definitely will be going back to Wildfire again on my next trip to Edinburgh.

Scotland's larder produces the food that is then cooked to perfection whilst being fairly priced! As a regular, I can vouch for the excellent service, seasonal menus and I recommend Wildfire to everyone I know! My favourite is well-done steak and it is often difficult to get a steak cooked that retains the flavour and moisture. At Wildfire you get exactly cooked steak, to your liking and the most flavoursome moist texture that seldom needs a sharp knife. As the daughter, granddaughter and great grandaughter of Master Butchers, I know the difference and have a very high expectation. Wildfire never disappoints. Well worth booking due to the popularity. Lunches can be two or three course for people in a hurry, but once you try the starter you'll just want more and more. Everything freshly prepared and such a wonderful choice, you too will return again and again!

Had dinner here the other night and the steak was fantastic! My friend's sea bream with veggies were as well very good. We were very well serviced and drinks were flowing. The place was small but enough to accommodate a small group. We were seated immediately. I would highly recommend making reservations as the place was full and there were people coming in continuously but were requested to come back at a certain time. Some came back but it was like 9pm when a table was available. Will definitely go back again.

A really good, underrated Scottish restaurant with a cosy, homely atmosphere and great food for cheaper prices than a lot of the other Edinburgh restaurants. We regularly have our work Xmas do here.

Wildfire is a relatively new Scottish Steak and Seafood bistro and I can honestly say, the fillet steak with pepper sauce was the best I have ever had! The steak is Aberdeen Angus and cooked just the way you like it. The staff are all very friendly and professional and whilst being attentive, you never feel rushed. It is fairly small so booking is recommended, especially at the weekend. Lunch is also available and there are often lovely seasonal specials on the menu. I'm already planning my next visit.
