Really a great place to be in Cambridge. You can sit next to the river outside, there is good food and a lof of good beer. Service is very friendly.
not basically a bad pub but seems to attract antisocial types at weekends.i have been assaulted twice and threatened with violence if i returned by people i don't know as they had decided with great intelligence that i am a nonce.have returned though but not at weekends as it might be too dangerous.food looks good but i have never eaten there.steve.
Green Dragon pub situated in Chesterton Cambridge is about 3 miles from the city centre. It has quaint little flower baskets hanging from the outside walls.Giving it a nice warm feel before you enter. The pub has been selling beer with a licence for over 600 years and 500 years before that with out a licence. The inside atmosphere is great with the local patrons ready for some nice local chat and banter. Good bar staff always willing to help and advise. The home made cooking is just mouth watering with great portions.Try some of the homemade sausages, many different types .Be advised to get there early if eating as it will get quite packed. It has a garden over looking the river cam you can enjoy the delights of a great ale and watch the rowers doing there sculling on the river .Enjoy and relax with your visit here. The oldest pub in Cambridge .
