I tried this little place out with a few friends who were not familiar with tapas and who I was trying to win over to the cause! We were not disappointed with Los Molinos, and I left with a group of tapas converts!

The floor space, as has been mentioned, is tiny, and this did cause us a minor problem even on a Tuesday night, so if you are planning a group trip to this place, and you really should, then phone beforehand to book no matter what day of the week it is. The decor is warm and homely, I particularly liked the massive wine map of Spain!

My personal favourite, chorizo al vino, was fantastic here, with just the right amount of Rioja wine and big, succulent chunks of chorizo. Our various fish dishes, including prawns and salmon, all tasted incredibly good, as did the albondigas. I was a little disappointed that they go down the ‘fries and sauce from a bottle’ route with patatas bravas, but given the quality of the other food, I was prepared to forgive and move on.

The wine list looked good, but we went for jug after jug of delicious sangria, and I am very pleased that we did!

All in all, this is an absolutely lovely restaurant, and I cannot wait to go back.

This is the best tapas I’ve had in London. It’s small and crowded, with a handful of upstairs tables and a downstairs that’s surprisingly bright (thanks to some effective use of windows). The decor is just Spanish enough without being over-the-top. The staff that runs the place is all very obviously Spanish as well.

The food was delicious. The marinated manzanilla olives tasted sweet and buttery. The calamares a la plancha were tender and juicy, and the grilled sardines crisp and yummy. The chorizo al vino, escalivada, and pan con tomate were all very tasty too. We got both the specials they had - one potatoes with chorizo, the other some sort of omelette - and they were both excellent. For dessert I had a tarta de santiago.

Wine list was good. I don’t remember what bottle our table ordered (and quickly consumed), but it was very nice.

The full food and wine menu is available on their website.

Service was very good, friendly and quick.

Four of us ate until we were full, shared a bottle of wine, all had dessert, and two of us had coffees. It came to £20 each, service included. That’s not bad. The quality of food was superb. Go now!

What this establishment lacks in floor space it more than makes up in its preparation and presentation of food. Los Molinos has charming decor with pretty wooden furniture,Salmon Pink walls and a delightful collection dainty collectibles.

There are 60 dishes on the menu all lovingly recreated here from Spain and there is a mixture of the old and the new to select from. Most important the food is really fresh, properly cooked and very delicious. We started of with the extra lenght of Ham Croquettes which had chunks of Red Peppers inside-a very nice combination giving it quite a twist from the traditional. A bowl of Chickpeas and Spinach came in a hearty Cumin scented broth and was eaten really quickly. Gambas al agillo (plump succulent Prawns) in a rich Garlicky sauce came next. But the best of all was the revuelto of baby Eels,Artichokes,Red-Peppers and Mushrooms: one of the best Tapas we have tried in a long time.
