Always reliable for a fabulous pool session, and particularly good at 0730 weekdays now – used to be so busy at this time, now there are 4 in a lane!
I have no greater high from endorphin kick in. Other pools somehow just are nt the real Mcoy.
Staff also good, though pool attendents could watch the water more. Or sometimes I could even say pool attendents could watch the water. In fairness, they do get dealt with if I bring it up, and to my knowledge, there has never been an avoidable fatality.
As for valuables, LEAVE THEM UPSTAIRS IN THE SAFE. And put your key round your leg/arm or in old sock. Thieves cant then get to you.

definitely one of the better pools in London and a nice place to swim. Showers and changing rooms are ok.
WARING!! They are braking into the lockers at QMSC changing rooms. And staff will not do nothing about it. Two of my friends lockers were broken into.. and they took house keys car keys i pod and shoes... He wa just left with his shorts on.
I do believe manager don't care at all. is absolutely discusting
but they will chase you if you are late on your payments...
bastards!!!
gametes69 i too had my locker opened and my things stolen on 19march in the swimming changing room.
thelock was not tampered with, so it looked like the thief has a way of opening the lockers or have a key. the locker number is 196.
the staff searched the other lockers and found my knapsack and jacket. the thief took my money £15 cash, my oyster card, with £3.30 in it, my library card and my M&S gift card with £5. lucky he did not take myhouse keys.

I love this sports centre. It really isn’t the cleanest place, but the staff are very friendly helpful. There’s a good range of classes and the instructors are fantastic. The machines are a bit tatty, though with the low membership costs I guess that’s to be expected.
The facilities and the people are great - friendlier place then LA and FF gyms i have been to. But you do have to wait for a turn to take a shower, or get on the trademill when its peak time 6pm-11pm.
The Queen Mother Sports Centre isn’t the cleanest or most modern gym I’ve ever been to, but for some reason it just works.
I like that you walk past the swimming pool when you enter the gym. This immediately inspires me and makes me feel like getting sporty!
The staff on reception are friendly and pretty helpful.
The gym equipment is a bit out of date, but it does the job. There are plenty of treadmills, rowers, bikes, cross trainers to go around. The weights are a bit more limited on numbers (like any other gym, really).
The changing rooms are in need of a facelift. They’re a bit dirty and need modernising.
The classes on offer are good.
The best thing are QMSC is that it works on a rolling monthly contract, which requires just one month’s notice of cancellation. This is brilliant. I resent that all other gyms tie you into at least a 12 month subscription - which is useless in my opinion, especially when people are constantly changing where they live and work in the city.
There is also no pretention here and is a laid back friendly place to work out in.
Great leisure centre located 2mins walk from Victoria station down Vauxhall bridge road. Friendly staff and competitive prices which is great for anyone who works or lives in that area.. I go mainly for the swimming pool(which is 25m) with a mini pool at the top for the water slide and another pool for tots at the bottom. There’s also an audience seating area that’s goes along the side for anyone not swimming. Sometimes full of annoying screaming kids playing water fights in the showers and changing room.
The gym is very big and surprisingly cheap. They do tae kwon do squash badminton and also have a sauna. Nice little health food/smoothes bar at the entrance to the centre too.
I enjoy going to this place. I’ve been going for 10 years and one the reasons I love it so much is the great facilities and they have the cleanest pool in London.
It’s such a friendly and lively place with lots of facilities, including a physio & osteo clinic, personal fitness training centre, beauty salon and a healthy juice bar. I recommend going here even if you don’t live locally!
The swimming pool is great for doing lanes in a conveinient after work location. The main trouble here is that it is so popular that it gets very busy after work. The badminton courts are also difficult to book if you are not a member. The changing rooms are clean. The staff are also helpful.
When i was a kid we went here for swimming, I remember once I’d just put on all my clothes after a swim, reached into the locker for my shoes and realised the entire locker was coated with cockroaches, like the scene in Indiana Jones. I had all my clothes off and was back in the shower in about 30 seconds. Sure they’ve cleaned up their act by now. Or else, they’ll have been taken over and there’ll be a giant cockroach on reception.
Every Wednesday night you have a chance to play in-door basket ball. Whether you are Male or female there is a chance to play matches in teams of five. The teams are rotated between a small court and an official sized court. The teams rotate, so everyone gets a rest which adds to the competitiveness.
The sauna in here is excellent. There is a relaxation suite with a sauna and a steam room and loungers outside and a cold shower and water fountain. Relxaing music is played into the suite and the staff and very interactive and friendly and always ready to help. There are private showers so saunsa is mixed at times and single sex at others. Since the stmosphere is so relaxed and friendly this is a great place to socialise. Its like a little sauna family, everyone can have a chat and a bit of fun.
This is the sports centre with everything, from swimming, a gym, kick and thai boxing, squash courts, a sports hall and the all important steam room and sauna. You always find the staff to be friendly and always offering advice on improving any skills. One thing I really like about this gym is the variety of memberships, they range from 22-45pounds and you can even have a day ticket if you just wish to go every so often. Not many gyms give you this much choice.
