I attended the performance of Phantom of the Opera couple of weeks ago and I found it to be a wonderful performance. The location was easy to find. The travel to the actual theatre was very good as Charing Cross was with walking distance.
The theatre was very clean. I found the bathroom to be quite small and it gets quite congested during the interval, but that was to be expected. The food during the interval was very easy to access but slightly pricey. The seats that I had were in the middle and it was not that bad either.

22 years in the west end and you can see why! An amazing show that after all these years is still pulling the crowds in, beautiful costumes and wonderful songs. I’ve seen it 5 times and I cannot wait till my next time!

As one of the longest running and most successful musicals in the history of Broadway and the West End, Phantom of the Opera has already been established as a quality and much loved musical. Suffice it to say that this production has not lost any of its charm since the days of Michael Crawford, and is as appealing now as it was when it was first staged. If you like the story then I also recommend you read the original novel by Gaston Leroux which as a child provided some very effective scares. Although it may seem like it, it will not run for ever so see it while you can.

Abolsutely my favourite musical ever. I have been to see it so many times that I’ve actually forgotten the number. I’ve never seen a poor performance, and sitting on the front row (my favourite place) is a wonderful experience; from being able to clearly see the actors expressions to the moment where the chandelier comes swinging overhead. Don’t judge the musical on the film, because we’re talking a different class entirely. This is one of the most beautiful love stories ever told, which music which will haunt you for days afterwards.

This is not like the other popular musicals in London. Phantom of the Opera is good, but the singing is quite operatic and the emphasis is on the singing rather than the “show” aspect, as you find in other west end shows. Nevertheless, I found it quite moving and the music was fantastic. There are also some great special effects, such as the chandelier falling from the ceiling, and it is very well produced - but I would recommend reading up on the story before you go so that you don’t soend the whole time trying to work out what’s happening!

I absolutley adore musicals, but my husband doesn’t. Never the less I dragged him with me and afterwards I had a converted husband. He absolutley loved it and couldn’t stop talking about it. The performance was breathtakingly beautiful. The only downfall is that the leg room in this centre is very limited. But you’ll forget that as soon as the performance started.

We went to see this last week. I’m a big fan of musical theatre but hubby is not. He had an amazing time. This is a classic must-see show and we were treated to a dazzling performance. You must sit in the Stalls!! Fantastic view. Highly recommended!

You need your mind reading if you’d chose to go see this over some of the new, dazzling theatre available at the moment. Tired, dated, scruffy… if you must go and see a musical (London’s Theatre trumps its Musical Theatre by a mile) go see “Avenue Q” or “La Cage Aux Follies”.

Took a friend here for his birthday and was left very disappointed. Not enough plot to support it’s running time and drawn out by oddly mediocre songs. The seats were uncomfortable too. Half way through I was disappointed to find out it was only the interval - the couple seated in front of us obviously agreed as they left and didn’t come back.

On the plus side the production design was good and the performances were competent. My friend enjoyed the whole production though - maybe I’m being overly critical, maybe going in my expectations were too high, but I really didn’t like it.

An experience not to be forgotten - I had gone along to this with my husband who is not a theatre-goer by any stand, although he really enjoyed it and has now booked tickets to go and see it again with our daughter!

I have seen many other productions across the world, but have to agree that this event was by far the best!

I would definitely recommend, ensuring that you have also booked a dinner in the locality it will be a magical evening.

The music is very touching. The story captivates the audience straight away. You watch not wanting to move your eyes away from the stage. Everyone should go and see this play. The characters become alive.

I was travelling to London on a trip with my daughter and had to beg for her to come and watch this with me. We’d already seen The Lion King, Mary Poppins and various Shakespearian plays throughout London and hoped that she would come with me to watch this wonderful production that I had seen years earlier in Manchester. She did so, having been bribed since she didn’t think it would be her 'thing’ but she throughly enjoyed it too. The production and the songs were just as wonderful as they had been the first time I saw Phantom and was still spell bound by the effects and stage scenery. Ordinarily I would recommend it for the adults but my young teenage daughter throughly enjoyed it much to her surprise too !!

Phantom of the Opera is one of the most talked about shows in the West End and after watching it it is not hard to see why. It has been running for several years now but has a timeless quality that stops it from ever aging.

The music, the lyrics, the acting and the breath-taking scenery all make for a truly exceptional performance. I barely even noticed time passing as I became so lost in what was happening.

I have seen the film version of this and the stage version twice and I don’t think i’ll ever get bored or fail to be moved. This should definitely be on your London to-do list.

The Phantom of the Opera is perhaps one of the most visceral theatrical experiences of all time. I found the show an incredibly moving, emotional experience, and was lucky enough to see it with Ramin Karimloo in the title role. I started tearing up the moment he started singing Music of the Night - he made it so sensual, and made the Phantom’s struggle for love, acceptance and fulfilment so vivid.

The effects are superb, sets and costumes astounding, and the songs are beautiful, with wonderfully crafted melodies and sharp, sensitive and often very witty lyrics. I am glad to see the show still going strong, as it really is an unforgettable experience.

Great night out, this is a real classic and to be honest the film that came out really doesn’t do the stage production justice. More the food and drink in threates is really high but I thinks thats the same across the board.

I really enjoyed this show. We went as a birthday treat to see this last year. The acting and singing was all brilliant and perfectly executed. One thing that ruined it for me was a group of people in the row behind kept talking all the way through the show. I would prefer it if people were quiet and there to actually watch the show they have paid to see like the rest of us.

The show itself was very enjoyable to watch. I would definitely go and see it again and recommend it to others.

Fabulous musical, excellent cast, we all know the story, we know the songs. The theatre is lovely, the staff helpful, the box office are very good about access needs, and although the tickets are expensive, its well worth paying for good tickets, as the view from the cheap seats is very poor.

If you are a lover of music then this is a musical for you. Passionate and great singers. I cried when I went to see this and even though I was sat quite far up. The stage effects are amazing.

One of the most passionate, intense theatre shows I have seen. I think it could be classed as my favourite.

We didn’t have that great seats but it didn’t really matter as we still enjoyed the performance very much. I think out of all the shows I have seen, I could see this one again and again. The love story is so strong and you really get a sense of what they are singing/relating to.

Would highly recommend this show!

An absolute class act and classic story, Phantom was an a performance I knew I could count on to indulge every sense and it didn’t disappoint. The cast was wonderful (August 2008), the music was, as always stunning, and even from the nose-bleed section of Her Majesty’s Theatre I still felt a part of the performance.

Totally stunning.

A wonderful show, the special effects were spectacular and the whole family had a wonderful time. It was the best theatre production I’ve ever seen. I just wish it had been cheaper.

I have been to this show 3 times already & would hapily go back for more.It is a stunning performance all round. Costumes, Sets, Music, Vocals - all amazing. I would recommend sitting centre stage on the gound level, if possible, for full effect (you will understand when you go!)
Avoid sitting up in the dress circle, it is very high & seating is very cramped

Phantom at Her majestys theatre never fails to amaze me - Im like a small kid with his nose pressed against a sweet shop window.
The effects are amazing and the vocals are undoubtedly fantastic. Her majestys theatre is one of the smaller theatres in London so dont think its like being at the o2 arena.
Even people who hate the theatre will love this amazing performance!

Total cheese-o-rama! An entertaining show but basically one about a crazed stalker?? Why do women fall over themselves to go and see this??

The seats were teensy tiny so not the most comfortable theatre experience but the constant on stage drama distracted from the sore knees. As did the young lady next to me who sang her heart out right in my ear and even mimed along to the classic organ music…

Phantom of the Opera attracts some hardcore fans, still worth seeing if you are not one of them but I would reccommend picking up special offer and last minute tickets, I would have been a bit put out if I had spent £50 to see it.
