Blue Angel has acquired somewhat of a cult status in Liverpool and is known as the Raz. It is one of the best nights out you will ever have should you really be in the mood for it. I would advise that you dont wear your best clothes though as it isnt the cleanest place in Liverpool possibly the opposite which serves to create the cult which surrounds the place. Everyone seems to go on Tuesdays and Thursdays generally, and they play some cheesy music, i have honestly never been in and they havent played the theme tune to Baywatch, so thats a good start by anyone’s standards ha ha, definately get yourself a fat frog and get stuck in

If I’d been an undergraduate student in Liverpool I know I would have loved to spend many a drunken student night downing shots in here as there is a place just like it in Liverpool. As a postgraduate student, at the mature old age od 23 (!), I’m not such a fan. The odd night out in here when I’m really drunk is all I could manage because if I was ever sober in this smelly place with men and women throwing themselves at each other whilst vomiting and pissing on the floor, I would probably die. A must see for any Liverpool undergrads though!

The blue angel is an experience that everyone in Liverpool should have! It’s a dive, simple as that, but a fanrastic dive! Dark, cramped, claustrophobc. It’s basically an old house with a disco in the basement. it has been extended into the basement next door in recent years which gives you a bit more room but the sweat still pours down on the rock effect walls! Haven’t been for a few years now, the last time being on a hen night when my friend’s mum got in for 50p as they have pensioner rates! Once you’ve been to the blue angel you’ll always go back, just maybe not every week! Just writing this is making me nostalgic…

The Raz…a must for students, once you hit 25, you wonder why you ever liked it!
The place is a dump, it’s dingy, dirty, smelly, busy….perfect place to spend your student days :)
Cheap drinks, cheesy music, what more do you want! If you’re a student in Liverpool, get yourself down there. If you’re over 25, maybe not.

The Blue Angel – more commonly known as the Razz, is a favourite with students and locals alike. The drinks are very very cheap, which is a good thing because most people suggest that one might need to be intoxicated to ignore the decor, sticky carpets, dripping sweat from the ceiling and smell of vomit when in there. Most people are that drunk they don’t notice. Its at the top end of the bars, further p the road from Lago. The best thing going for the place is the music, which is absolutely cheesy as it comes. Really good music, but don’t go in sober!!

The dingiest and dirtiest place I have ever stepped into. But I don’t half it!
Mega cheap drinks, the cheesiest music ( Baywatch themetune, anyone?!) and the stickiest carpet.
As said before, it is a Liverpudlian institution and everyone should pay it a visit!
Where else for £10 on NYE, would you get entry til 3am and a buffet?!

The Blue angel commonly known as the Razz is somewhat of a cult club within Liverpool to students at least! It is one of the dirtiest places you may ever visit and i wouldnt reccommend you wear your best clothes when heading there. If you can look past the somewhat dirty floors etc then you could have one of the best nights ever in here, plays some good music which at times covers the cheesy genre which makes for a good laugh and offering good cheap student price drinks doesnt hurt either. the positives outweigh the negatives i feel and so do many others hence it always being packed

The blue Angel is the biggest dive but I have had the some of the best nights of my life here. They do play the cheesiest music but I love cheesy music. I started going there in my student nurse years and still go 12 years later. Drinks are cheap, you can wear what you want and everyone is friendly.

well - the blue Angel or “the Raz” as it’s sometimes known is on every firts year students to do list on a Tuesday night. Sticky walls and smelly carpets do not make for the most classy of nights but in first year all you care about is getting a blue wkd for less than a pound!

Affectionately known as The Raz. The Blue Angel is cheap and cheerful and very popular. It is always packed full and quite sweaty, so if you don’t mind that then it’s great. If you are looking for a bar that’s more relaxed and classy, then this isn’t for you.

The Raz! An essential student haunt…cheap drinks, cheesy music, sweat dripping from the ceilings and sticky carpet make it the kind of dive you really want to go to…especially when probably every Liverpool student has been at least once in their student lives. Good times!

What can you say about the Razz that hasn’t said before, its reputation preceeds it: you’ll leave late, smelly, covered in stains, sticky and a friend of mine even left with glass in her foot once.! An absolute labyrinth of corners, nooks and crannies, this is cheesy, feel-good music pushed to the limit and a guaranteed good night out.
They used to have an outside 'balcony’ bit where you could (briefly) cool off, but think this has been stopped since houses were built nearby.
One extra bit, at the back downstairs, there’s a hatch that leads to the kitchen of a basement Chinese kitchen from a nearby restaurant, and you could buy some food from it…but, no one else ever seems to remember it

Renowned for its musical history, both The Beatles and the Rolling Stones played here in the Sixties. There are five bars and two dance floors, and the place is usually very popular.
