Yuo cannot go wrong with Wagamama, can you? They’re very reliable. You can also buy some bits and bobs to cook with at home. They’re good with children. I managed to persuade my neices we were going for noodles/spaghetti and they loved it. Shh! Don’t tell them they were eating Japanese food, will you? I love the raw juice, saki, miso soup, edamame and chocolate-wasabi fudge cake. sounds awful but really it’s a bit naughty somehow. Lots of great dishes. Really good for vegetarians - it’s one of few high street chains that do. Take-aways these days too. This is the place for enthusiastic noshing. And it’s friendly to single diners as well.

Wagomamas is a lively, fast-paced Japanese noodle bar. They have a large menu so there is plenty of choice. The food is really nice and it wasn’t too expensive. I would eat here again.

The seating is on long wooden benches and the restaurant is quite stark and plain. We were sat near the kitchen and there was always staff rushing in and out, which did not make for a relaxing meal.

Wagamama has a wide appeal. You can go there on a date. You can take your mother there. You could go with fellow students, or office colleagues, or bring your children. It's good to soak up the booze on a night on the town.

That's why it's a bugger to get a seat.

The menu is lovely, and the food is always very fresh. Vegans and vegetarians are catered for, and the portions are always generous. The customers are required to sit on long wooden benches at long wooden tables which makes for a nice, communal atmosphere.

With mains ranging in price from £6.10 to £10.35, it isn't too bad for Clifton, but to sit and take your time enjoying your meal, it's probably best to try a slightly quieter weeknight.

It's a dark, pouring wet Saturday night and we're stood in a queue waiting to get inside a heaving Wagamama's. OK, it's a royal pain in the butt, but I guess the food must be pretty good to attract such crowds. The menu offers a large selection of noodle, rice and side dishes and everything on it sounds enticing. I go for yasai yaki soba, a vegetarian dish that was delicious, delicately flavoured and attractively presented. I was surprised at how large the portion size was. My companion ordered ginger chicken udon which she said was nice but disappointingly low on ginger. We both ordered raw salads as extras and again I was pleasantly surprised with a tasty, generous mix of Asian leaves, spring onion, carrot, shallots and onion. Prices were average, around £8 for a main meal. A bottle of mineral water to share was £3.40 which I consider expensive. Service was very quick but I felt very time pressured by its speed and the queues of hungry people gazing longingly in at me through the window. No place for a leisurely meal.

This Japanese noodle bar offers delicious noodle and rice based dishes, with a fresh taste and all for reasonable prices. The canteen style restaurant offers fast food, and fairly intimate style dining. With a large menu, specials card, and delightful puddings, you won't be short of choice of meal to enjoy with you free green tea. Incredible customer service and scrumptious food.
