I’m a bit biased as I designed the website and all the print marketing for this restaurant, but the fact is, I love the food. I’m a veggie and their veggie sausages are amazing - especially the tomato and basil. Yum yum. I always leave there stuffed bc I can’t seem to stop until my plate is totally clean. Great food, friendly staff, great prices… it doesn’t get much better than that. Oh, they source ethically too - so I guess it does get a little better!

Very friendly place with something for everyone to enjoy. I’m a veggie and so hadn’t really expected to enjoy the food but their veggies sausages are nothing like those awful things you buy from the supermarkets when you’ve invited a vegetarian to a BBQ. These veggie sausages were yummy!

And the children enjoyed it.

Small friendly speciality restaurant just north of Oxford centre with some limited on-street parking nearby.
Specialises in good quality locally made sausages (including vegetarian) with an assortment of ‘Jus’ and mashed potato variants. They have a suprisingly good range of mainly bottled beers available.
Best to book unless you go early or you may struggle to get in.
Good value for money.

This is a great place for a good feed at great prices. This is a specialist sausage restaurant, serving up gourmet sausages bought from Oxford's Covered Market either wish mash potato or on a baguette. There's a fantastic range of meats and vegetarian sausages - I really like the vension and wild boar on a gourmet hotdog.

The place also stocks a range of Hook Norton beers, locally sourced from the brewery in Banbury. If you're into your bitter, go and have a bottle with dinner - Old Hooky and Hooky Bitter are my favourites.

The staff are incredibly friendly and willing to make suggestions, which are always great. You really get the feeling that they care very much about the business as their enthusiasm comes across in their service.

Great for lunch with mates, or a relaxing evening in an informal atmosphere. Give it a try!

The Big Bang is a restaurant specialising in sausages, and this it does incredibly well! There's a surprising range of things that can be put in sausage and it even caters for vegetarians. The basic idea is you pick your sausage, then your accompaniment (usually some form of mash) and then your jus (gravy). There are written recommendations and combinations and the staff are very honest in giving advice. There's a big specials board to tempt you further. The staff are really friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy their job. They make the whole experience seem really fun - who would have thought choosing sausages could be such a memorable experience! It's usually pretty busy, so pre-booking is recommended. The food is often locally sourced and organic, so it feels quite healthy, and there's a big range of fellow customers. Somewhere to try just for the novelty, and to revisit once you've experienced its unique charm.
