Compliment

The Farmers' market proved to be so popular that it is now on every other Thursday in Oxford's Gloucester Green (the 1st and 3rd Thursday in each month). People visiting from France and Spain (and probably elsewhere) will probably be amazed at us thinking this market is in anyway unusual and also wondering how we cope for the weeks when the Farmers' market is not on.
The market sells fresh fruit and vegatables grown by the stall holders. We've enjoyed amazing twirly cauliflowers, fresh watercress and I would have enjoyed my very own tomatillos from a plant bought here if the horrid slugs hadn't got there first. I regularly buy trout from the fish stall and pork from another stall. There are wonderful apple juices to try, fresh bread and cakes, honey, herbs, goats cheese, butter and the best thing is you can usually try before you buy. My children love coming to this market. They love the tiny little glasses of apple juice. They like being given a little bit of this and a taste of that. And, of course, they love the Godwin's Ice cream stand.
