What? I haven't reviewed StolenSpace yet? This is one of my favourite gallery spaces in London. I've been coming here for years and reckon since 07 I've caught more of their exhibitions than I've missed. Killer shows from the likes of Word to Mother, D*Face, Dan Witz and Shepard Fairey make this East End gallery a major player in the world of street art.
The Old Truman Brewery location is convenient and nearby lots of other cultural and arty spots as well as loads of bars and restaurants. The staff are friendly. The art is exceptional.
This is a brilliant art gallery around The Old Truman Brewery.
It has regular shows which you can check on their website - http://stolenspace.com
It shows modern art and street art.
Stolenspace is a short walk up from Aldgate East and along from Liverpool Street.

Great modern art gallery just off brick lane, well worth a visit for a peek at the modern art world's upcoming talent. The gallery regularly changes its feature artists and entrance to all exhibitions is free. This month stolen space is closed as the gallery is expanding, but be sure to visit in Feb.

If you happen to walking along Brick Lane anyway, this exhibition space above the Old Truman Brewery is well worth a quick nosey into. Entrance is free and the viewing space is huge, which allows the bright young things that showcase their works here to install some pretty impressive pieces of work. Of course what you will see depends on which artist is flavour of the month, but they tend to be in key with the vibe of the area. I think the converted industrial space gallery thing is definitely the right kind idea for the area, but in reality the mixture of natual and spot lighting might not always present the works in the best possible light. Worthy of a few moments of your time though.
