would just like to say went to the lamorna wink a couple of weeks ago with my partner and family and what a nice evening we had the pub is nice from the outside but even better inside its like a curiosty shop and if u ask the land lady dee will answer your questions we had a good evening and will deffo be going back again is what u call a proper pub as it should be

We recently rented a cottage in Lamorna for a week and were looking forward to walking to the Lamorna Wink for a good pub lunch and a beer.

The pub is a huge disappointment. From the outside it looks quaint but once inside it looks dirty, and the welcome was only slightly better than unfriendly. We drank our halves of Betty Stoggs from less than sparkling glasses and swiftly left.

I think the problem is that the landlady is elderly and, sadly, not now up to the demanding job of running a pub.

The only redeeming feature is that, unsurprisingly, there is plenty of room in the car park.

Well that just proves me right ! This place is a complete dump and the attitude of the people that run it is abysmal. I will never go in there again but it begs the question……..where in that area can you go ?

A beautiful, character filled little pub in a fantastic setting. It’s a very old village pub set right in the middle of the village. When you enter it has what seems like thousands of little nik naks hanging on the walls and ceiling which can take you all night to puruse.

If you are after modern and sophisticated, you have come to the wrong place. The landlady runs it the way she wants any she isn’t changing for noone.

No food in the evening though, just at lunch. Food is simple fare but reasonably priced and honest.

She is a miserable old bag. The dogs on the bar stool will take your hands off and she only smiles when she gets wind !

What another bad experience! I thought i would give it the benefit of the doubt and decided to have another visit.
The place is a complete and utter dump,you dont expect the dogs to take a dump in the bar and the food looks like its been prepared by them to and ive never been anywhere when you sit down on the stools it sounds like theres a whoopi cushion inside.Even the rats would turn that down.
As for the old bat that owns it,ive never met anyone so rude i only asked if she knew of any good pubs around and she snapped my head off (dont know why lol).Last time i commented on wiping my feet on the way out,it was a different experience this time,i had to take my shoes off when leaving and leave them behind god only knows what was on the bottom of them.
Enviromental Health and Trading Standards could you please help this poor decrepid old lady,also is there anyone out there that could give her a personality transplant.
