Loses 2 stars for cramped seating arrangements and their slow service! :(

The blurb says this place is outstanding, sorry but my experience & that of most people I know is that it’s overpriced, nothing special Italian food that’s not worth returning for. It’s our nearest Italian but I would rather drive into town than eat here.

Such an amazing place to dine with friends or family or even work mates. Lovely food excellent service! Ignore The bad reviews cause I can assure you it’s the place to be for great Italian food and a great night. Some folk just don’t know quality when they see it!

We visited to celebrate a joint birthday and decided to stay local – a mistake! The food was good – when it arrived! The waiter tried his best but the management when we said how disappointed we had been waiting fifty minutes between getting our focaccia and our mains were, quite frankly arrogant and dismissive. No apologies were offred instead we were told “What do you expect we’re short staffed” but it did not stop them accepting a table of six on spec after us and getting served before us. To pay city centre prices and not recieve city centre customer care is deplorable. Fabios has lost three customers and quite a few more! We should have listened when my husband said he didn’t rate it.

I love Fabios and can’t recommend it enough. It’s my favourite italian.

The food and service is always outstanding. I’d suggest. either a pizza or the pollo pietro.

Fabios has fantastic food which is freshly cooked and very tasty. The prices are good, probably what you would expect from an italian outside the city centre. The staff are friendly and always happy to help, they make you feel very welcome.

There is a great range of “non-italian” food for those who want it and although there is not a childrens menu they will make a half portion of pasta or a small 8” pizza for children.

Food at the weekends takes a while to arrive at your table, so get a starter to keep you going.

All in all a great place to eat, nice friendly atmosphere, lovely home made type food, good prices, highly recommended.

Fabios is an Italian Restaurant based in Corstorphine. It offers real fine Italian cusine and, due to a recent makeover, an exceptionally tasteful environment. An added bonus is the car park at the rear. The staff are very friendly and sing happy birthday to the relevant person. The food is tasty and ample with the service swift. On balance the prices are pretty cheap for what one receives. While waiting on a table there is a nice seating area at the front, through the large full size windows allows one to watch the busy M8 traffic come in.

One of the most interesting places for itialian cuisine in the city (for me at least). Based close to the western outskirts of the city (just behind PC World and Shell station) it still provides a romantic atmosphere and good food to enjoy.
Prices very good and even a bit shocking (in a positive way) as for same dishes in the city center you'd have to pay at least £2 more. Drinks ok too, service nice and polite.
Really as I say the only minus is that is so far from the city center. But if you're a food lover and like to spend an evening in pretty romantic atmosphere than why not spend some time on the bus but then not regreting your decision?
