Great local video shop. Was very impressed with large selection and that all DVDs including blurays are £1.50.

As other reviewers have said, Vogue stocks a good selection of DVDs (from world cinema to blockbusters) and at a very reasonable price of £1.50 you can't go wrong.
The staff are friendly and I often have a chat with the owner about movies - he's recommended some gems too.
Forget Blockbuster or Alphabet, Vogue is where it's at.

Fantastic selection of DVD'S and Boxsets available and cheap too!
Friendly staff and always good to ask for recommendations.
When your on your way past drop in and check it out, every taste catered to from indie and arthouse to foreign cinema and hollywood blockbusters, speaking of blockbusters, stay away from there and give your hard earned to those who earn it, know what I mean?
Support your local retailer!

Matcheff, 1 June 2010:
This small treasure of a store, situated just off Nicolson Street, is a real treat.
Smaller than Blockbusters, Vogue Video’s friendly staff, up to date rentals and incredibly cheap prices - make it worth more than just a visit.
Membership is incredibly easy to sign up for and requires no exchange of debit/ credit card details. Instead you simply require proof of address and identity.
Check this place out, you wont be disappointed when it comes to cheap, quick, no hassle rentals.

Forget Blockbuster and all the huge DVD store chains, it’s now all about shopping local and doing your bit within the neighbourhood and Vogue Video on South Clerk St. is definitely where you want to be checking out the latest movies, boxsets and getting your sugary, salty snack fix. £1.50 for all movies, be it a new release or cult classic, friendly banter fro the lovely owner who knows where each and every dvd lies (test him!), a satisfying stash of nibbles and munchies and that good sense of wellbeing that comes from knowing your not further lining the pockets of the highflying corporate giants. What more could you want from your Tuesday night home movie date. Oh and a twenty minute delay returning dvds isn’t frowned upon and considered the crime of the century which is always nice!

Most people walking down south clerk street head straight to Blockbusters for their dose of dvds and ice-cream; missing out on a gem of a little place on the other side of the road - vogue video.
While some may argue that its not as well categorised as somewhere like Alphabet, they've got an equally amazing selection of films, from Kurusawa classics through filmhouse and European cinema specials to some of cream of hollywood sour milk.
Every time i walk/bike out of the place (cause we're not in big money-making cooperations here, he lets me take my bike in sometimes, so i don't have to lock it up outside) i feel like handing out leaflets to people going into Blockbusters accross the road.
In fact, i have to stop writing this now, i promised my friend i'd show them some New-Latin-American cinema (yes, its a genre, apparently) so i'm off to Vogue...
