Compliment

GALICIA is a small unassuming Spainish venue that does the Portobello area of Nottinghill proud, because it is solid and the food consistent. The reason why I am labouring this point is because there is a high rate of turnover of restaurants in this part of London with new ones being opened everday- literally here today gone tomorrow.
The very Sapinish cuisine, clientele and good humoured tital- tattle make for a great facsimile of a peninsular taberna.
If you are an expert and have been on holiday to Spain a few times then the dishes will be very familiar to you. They have the entire works here :- Albonchingas,Calamaries,Boquerones,,Chipirones andCroquettas.
The food is cooked in a competent and well-planned manner without an unnecessary flourish or snobbery which is exactly how it should be in a setting like this. The whole experience is augmented by a steady but good flow of wine, beers and sherry to wash down your dinner.
What is really nice about this place that the price for this level of quality food is cheap and very good value and even if it was expensive I wouldn't mind paying because in my opinion its worth every penny.
