Compliment

I love Butter Chicken but although a very popular dish in India (and in New Zealand!), it's devilishly difficult to find a decent one here in the UK. Ta daaaa - we found it here, in the Wimbledon Tandoori - well worth a hike up the hill.
It IS a small restaurant and therefore well worth reserving a table at the prime times (Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings), particularly away from the door which can be fairly draughty.
They have a really good range of dishes, which are always well-cooked and beautifully presented. Spices are used with a gentle hand so your mouth will tingle, rather than feel as if its been burnt with a blow-torch! The waiters, although not always quick to attend, do try their very best to help and offer suggestions if you can't really decide for yourself. There are also a wide range of wines available and the usual bottled beers - from 'traditional' Indian brews and more Westernised.
Portions are always ample and leave you feeling gently stuffed, so a nice feeling (rather than having to roll down the hill).
We paid £70 for a massive blow-out meal for 3, including starters and beers. Excellent value for a really decent, local Indian restaurant.
