Worth a Try Out

We do regularly take a walk around the Belgian District (Belgischer Viertel) of Cologne, but this tiny but chic Cake Place was somehow out of reach as its located further down to Venloer Strasse & Friesenplatz (Friesen Sq.).

It was windy and grey Saturday as we finally managed a short date at Mdm. Miammiam... As I already mentioned above this venue is tiny. Infact, very! One table with 2-4 Bar Stools facing the half busy street outside and another table viewing a glass Vitrine showing some gorgeous creations. We ordered 2 Cakes and 2 cups of Coffee and tried to kill the time looking around and chit chatting... Somehow I couldnt really enjoy munching my Girly with Pink Sugar-Layer and Heart-Printed Strawberry Cake(fyi, both cakes were mighty tasty) and sluurping my Latte Macchiatto while flirting around with the eyes of my Cavalier. This place is somehow not made for an enjoyable and cozy gateaway like in other regular Cafe (alone in Cologne I'd name 10 of them in 1 Minute!) where you could sit & chit chat around enjoy some cups of Coffee, Tea or Juice and stuffing your tummy with delicious (fatty) Cakes for hours. We evidenced most of the customers were there for Take/Carry Away Order (also for family events incl. Wedding) - n I guess it is Miammiam's Main Business. A sweet lil bird from far away wishpered my Guy that this Madame got a Wedding Cake order from an 'it' Celebrity.

Cake = excellent; Coffee = nice
Ambient = satisfactory
Service/Price Performance Ratio = bit high but stil tollerable
