Since I returned to Dumfries the one thing I have found for sure is that there really isn't a pub or club that I could recommend. You tend to go to one and then somewhere else the next week there really isn't one venue that stands out for me here, not one I want to go to on a regular basis. They are all much of a likeness. Not that they are bad just nothing outstanding.

good mix of people and a lot of fun.
Had a great time there Sunday evening when in the afternoon the barflies hold their weekly , the best night out in Dumfries is Sunday afternoon’s at the Globe Inn.!!

handy for the indepentent film theatre as well as the brigend theatre and bridge club.Nice staff and good pool room.
Thursday night with Frankies award winning darts league team and Sunday afternoons with the BARFLIES CLUB ARE REALLY NOT TO BE MISSED.

we enjoyed ourselves ,hany for the brigend theatre and the burn’s film theatre ;both just a short walk away . The function room uupstairs is becoming increasingly p[opular with student groups

This Pub doesn’t deserve it’s bad reputation. For a local pub it’s perfect. Not too pricey, nice owners, friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Great Banter from the locals, it seems a bit scary at first but once you get to know people it’s the best place to be. Honestly
