I think this place is nice, the eggs royale are really tasty. Also from the brunch menu you should try the Greek yoghurt and the Pancakes with sausages and mushrooms. The service is not so fast, but you will enjoy your food.

This place is great, spit and sawdust but the food was fab, listened to our exact requirements, Qing out if the door when we left, but a quick turn around, would definately recommend.

Love this place!!! Breakfasts are huge, staff are really friendly, interior is really cool and quirky!! As long as you dont mind queing a bit at the weekend, definitely worth it for their amazing American breakfasts!

I come here so often I should probably consider buying shares. I love everything about this place, I’m even prepared to put up with the long queues and that’s saying something! The service is good and fast- once you get in. Most importantly though, the food, oh the food! I usually go for brunch; the portions are huge and the food is great. 9 times out of 10 i’ll go for the All American Veggie- Pancakes, eggs, veggie sausage, mushrooms, hashbrowns and maple syrup- yuuuuuum!
I most definitely recommend this place, but if you go during peak hours, prepare to queue and share a table!

Compact to say the least. Fast service and large portions too. Good food hence the crowds outside, a little over hyped though but still good fun. Go early, just got seated at 0930 with no wait on a Sunday.

A place I always ending up at after weekend including too many pints or if I just want to have a safe choice including a full breakfast of all flavours. Looking for a nice brunch place hidden off on small street in central London – The Breakfast Club. Recommend – http://londonsvenskar.com/nicolejacobsen/

This one is a little hard to find - which may explain why it was quite empty when I went. On a friday night no less.

But is still an amazing place to go - pretty intimate, nicely decorated, very friendly staff and delicious food for massively reasonable prices.

BYOB is a delight and rare to find outside Brick Lane.

A great spot for some nice grub and long chats with friends.

Go with an appetite.

I thought TBC was a cute establishment. Nice atmosphere for a place dedicated to breakfast! Food was just okay. And it could happen to anyone... but on the very occasion that I thought I should try Marmite on toast for the first time: the toast served up was moldy.

Better luck next time for me. I'd go back and just have a fresh squeezed juice. ;)

    Hi Melody,
I am so sorry that we ruined your first taste of marmite on toast, please give it another go as it is amazing. I just really want to say sorry aswell that your food wasn't up to scratch, we get fresh bread delivered every morning so I am surprised that it happened. So sorry that it happened to you. I am really glad that you liked the cafe though.
If you decide to give us another try I guarantee that the bread will be great and the orange juice even better.

Great place for breakfast, but as mentioned by another reviewer, if you get there to late, the queues are long.

I love it though. The food is always great - good produce and prepared well.

They do a good coffee too.

A little trick if you work or live nearby in the event of the queues... Get their breakfast box to take away. It's an amazing value full breakfast, and you don't have to wait for ages to get it!

Fantastic place!

We stayed in London over the weekend and fancied a big English on the Saturday morning! After searching on Qype we found this place and the reviews were good so we thought let's give it a try. We arrived around 10.30 and the place was packed! We were told very nicely that we would have to wait outside, there was a queue of around six in front if us. How had we missed them walking in! Waiting outside was nice as it was a crisp sunny morning and it wasn't long before we were given a very tight table. We ordered the full Monty and the half Monty and the portions were huge, only thing missing was a sausage and this was soon rectified. The place had an energetic buzz, and the staff were very friendly. When we left about an hour and a half later the queue was around 20!

Great place, highly recommended!

I went their with a friend to have breakfast on a weekday. While portion size is generous I cannot say that I was overwhelmed. Especially when you compare this to other breakfasts, for example The Pavillion in Victoria Park. The noise level is pretty high: Bad acoustics due to the structure of room and loud music made a conversation challenging, and it wasn't even full. I can only imagine the noise level on a weekend.

Nonetheless the breakfast was good. I'd recommend their branch in Angel over this one.

It's crowded, it's lively - and it's a fantastic place for a Sunday brunch - as can be seen by the many people standing outside waiting for a table.
The breakfasts are filling, delicious and varied, the service is quick and friendly. Overall a really great, friendly and cheerful place to have a tasty breakfast or brunch.

Have visited the Breakfast club a few times before the most recently being this weekend

Word of warning... tables on a weekend are near impossible to get so be prepared to wait or go early! Especially if you have a party of 3 or more as most of the tables are for 2.

We went at about 11am on Sunday since nothing opens in London til about 11/12 but wished we went at 9 when it opened as the queue had about 6 people before us and from what I could see through the window everyone had just started eating!

Anyway went back the next day and got a table no problem. The decor is very kitsch and 'cluttered' with mismatched tables and chairs and with only about 9 or 10 tables in the cafe it is certainly small!

Ordered orange juice, pancakes, granola and a full monty breakfast.

Yes the food takes a while to come which I actually quite like as you can tell it's cooked to demand. The orange juice was freshly squeezed too.

Portions are very large! It took 3 people to finish off my granola with yogurt and berries as it was so big!

Pancakes came with fresh berries, yogurt, and a little pot of maple syrup (I hate it when places pour the syrup on the pancakes as they just soak it up instantly and the pancakes taste dry)

Full Monty breakfast had 2 fried eggs with runny yolks and big doorstopper slices of bread along with beans, sausages, bacon etc

I would say very good value for money especially for the portion sizes
Pancakes were just under £5, Granola was £4 and Full Monty was £8

Definately recommened just be prepared to wait!!

I enjoyed it and would definitely return, though probably not in a great hurry. I’d tried to get in once before on a weekday lunchtime and couldn’t get into the door, but finally succeeded last weekend.

It is pretty cramped and you’d probably be better off heading there early in the morning to make sure you get a seat, but the food was good and pretty quick (we both had the American). Came to about £20 for two with a drink each which wasn’t too bad.

A kitsch hippy take on the American Diner. The service is fine with friendly staff who spend a lot of time apologising for the slow kitchen in the basement. The All American Breakfast is not as good as I could make at home, the Traditional English was very plain - poor cuts of bacon and cheap baked beans!

Fine if you are passing by, but don’t believe the hype.

The Breakfast Club is more about being brilliantly and kitsch-tastically nostalgic for the '80s than it is about getting a good hearty breakfast in you.

The decor, the ambiance and the 'vibe’ (yeah, I hate that saying too) are all spot on; from the comedy blackboard outside spouting breakfast-relevant witticisms to the Happy Meal toys from your childhood and the photos of brat pack flicks on the walls, it’s a nice place to discover.

Portions are sizable and the menu features all the staple breakfast items you’d hope for; but the food is reasonably greasy and in some cases a little on the bland side. Oh, and if you’re not a fan of grimeyness then I’d steer clear. I can imagine clean-freaks would get the urge to don the marigolds and give the whole place a good scrub.

It’s a tiny little cafe so there aren’t that many seats, and it can get freakishly warm and smell a bit like toilets if you sit right in the back. But it’s a fun place to visit occasionally, especially when you’re in the mood for a good old fry up.

I found it hard to review The Breakfast Club without bias for two reasons. 1) they are named after one of my favourite movies 2) they gave me a cute breakfast club badge- for free.
I know that is quite pathetic, but when was the last time you got to eat a great big fresh and wholesome salad, with friendly soho-ites chatting to you without invitation (I swear it’s true) while wearing a free funky badge?
Simple really. This is a cute, cosy and fun place where the food is consistently good and by association you find yourself smiling remembering Emilio Estevez as the most active stoner ever.
