The story is set in the future, where musical instruments are banned and all music has been taken over by a global corporation who produce synthetic GA GA music. The music of the past is being dreamt of in the heads of the youngsters and the underground Bohemians who try to discover the magic of music from the past, in the form of some excellent Queen tracks.
There is a lot of humour with lots of lines pinched from songs through the last few decades.
I really enjoyed this energetic and lively show: plenty of audience participation in the form of singing along and clapping. I didn’t think the acoustics worked well, the sound wasn’t as clean and clear as I thought it should be: hence the 4* not 5* review. Even so, recommended.

I absolutely loved this show. I’ve seen it twice now and enjoyed it equally as much both times. The set i really enjoyed, especially the set of totenham court road station….I thought it really made you feel involved of the show. I enjoyed every minute of it. Yeah ok so it was a bit far fetched on the storyline but who really cares? really? Lighting was fab and the acting was fab. some of the lines really cracked me up.
But obviously don’t go if you don’t like queen or queen songs…...... i know thats pretty obvious, but some people never suprise me, we went last october and one couple complained that all they heard was queen songs? explain that one to me! The only thing that ruined my night was that i fell down the stairs when i left….. sore knee after that!

This is a fantastic musical if you like Queen's music. I have seen this show both in London and in Toronto in Canada and they were both equally as good. The stage presence of the characters is fantastic, engaging their audience so well. It is a very modern show, very different to what I expected but it works so well.

I love musicals, and have a much bigger appreciation of the phenomenon that was the HUGELY talented and successful Queen. This musical has a brilliant 3D sign on top of the theatre that glitters in the wind and light and is looming on top of you as you exit the Tottenham Court Road tube station.
The Dominion Theatre itself is lovely and grand and the stage is visual from all seats (no nasty columns in your way).
The performance was funny, well written and well performed but it was the individual singing that really affected me. I honestly don't know how some people become so amazing at singing. These performers (especially the main characters) must have vocal chords worth their weight in gold! The two main characters (Gallilao and "Scary bush") were absolutely amazing, but were equalled by at least three of the main supporting cast.
What a powerful performance.
What a treat! I'd recommend We Will Rock You! I left extremely pumped up! The Rocked me!
