This is one of my favorite pubs in Cambridge, and one of the only pubs that has the same feeling to it in the Winter or Summer. In the Summer you can relax in the large beer garden situated at the rear of the pub on the bank of the River Cam, with a nice cold beer. While in the winter you get the same warm feeling from the natural decor of the interior.
The Boat House has a wide selection of drinks (especially wines) at affordable prices. The food is consistantly good and the portions will keep you full for some time to come.
This is a beautifull pub. (Just look at the photo)

On a summer afternoon the garden is a great place to sit for lunch or in winter sit in one of the cosy rooms next to the fireplace and settle down out of the cold. The food here will food even the most starved rower on the river, not only is it served in 'real' portions, but it is tasty too and reasonably priced. A place that is worth visiting, just a shame that from its spot on the river you can't watch the college rowers training.

In my opinion it is a lovely place. Especially on a sunny day, when it is so pleasant to sit outside with your favourite drink and good friends. Food is nice as well. They cater for those who stick to traditional food as well as for those who like to try something different. They can choose Italian or Mexican food. How authentic that was, I am not too sure, as some Mexican stuff I tried seemed too mild to my taste. But, I suppose it would cater just perfectly for somebody less picky. Also I was pleased they have a proper Costa coffee, so if you order a coffee, you know you will get it, not the coloured water.
