A great change from ‘typical’ italian restaurants. A lovely spacious and bright interior with a lot of attention to detail. Have been here with just one other, and with a group, and always enjoyed the ambience and great service (old school respect for customers, never feeling rushed or bothered). The food is consistently good solid unpretentious italian cooking complemented by a well thought out wine list. Location is a little ‘off the beaten track’ but its worth the walk over.

I have visited Don Giovannis on many occasions over the years. The service is always very professional and friendly and the food authentic. The atmosphere is always pleasent and as previous reviewers said prices are reasonable. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Out of all the Italian restaurants I have been to in Manchester this has to be one of the best…if not THE best.

It’s dripping in style, class and first-rate service; robbie_1981 is spot-on about the feeling you get that the staff are only too pleased to have you there. I found it reasonably-priced and all; my fiance and I shared a starter, had a main course each, a glass of wine each, I had a dessert and she had a coffee…all for £16 a head which by my reckoning ain’t bad.

Whilst other places would have been quiet on our particular Monday night, this place wasn’t…which I’m taking as a good sign of its popularity and quality.

And I bet you won’t find ‘Dyson Airblade’ hand-dryers in any other toilets, either…!

I went here on a Saturday for an evening meal and was extremely happy with the service I received. Although the restaurant was at peak time and extremely busy we were seated almost immediately and our drinks followed quite promptly. The staff seemed to be very professional and actually seemed like they were genuinely happy to be serving you. The restaurant itself is Italian and unlike many it still has a very Italian feel to it. The décor is very attractive and the large windows offer an great insight to outsiders as to what is going on it the restaurant. Before eating at this restaurant I often walked past the windows and felt a sense of style yet imagined the price would vastly be to expensive. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the price of the food was quite reasonable and well worth it. The ambience is very romantic and idea for couples looking to enjoy each other company over a delicious meal
