Probably the best pub on kew green Great location, friendly staff, good food, if a bit pricey and very good beer garden with private heated booths if you're lucky enough to get one Highly recommended !!!

A nice pub with excellent staff. We went for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the experience. The staff were friendly, great with dogs and I thought the atmosphere was really nice. Busy and yet not overcrowded.

Awful pub with delusions of grandeur.  I went there for a meal with my partner and his parents and the 'excuse' that they provided in terms of a vegetarian 'option' was simply appalling - penne pasta with some roasted veg and a few bits of mozzarella and asparagus.  It was absolutely swimming in oil and tasted vile.  I was ashamed that my boyfriend's dad had to pay £10.50 for this (he was treating us).  My companions' meals turned up on wooden chopping boards (what's wrong with a plate?) that were all split from being put in the dishwasher too often.  I would never go there again.

I love this place I am a veggie and I always have plenty of choice
Last time I was there my partner had the Greek salad for £9.50
It was large enough for the both of us

My least favourite pub on kew green. This place has been here for as long as i can remember but doesn’t really change. Considering how much competition there is in such a small area you’d think they would try harder.

The only thing this place has going for it is it’s location. Interior lacks character and atmosphere.

My opinion, avoid it and go to one of the many others nearby

Help! Greedies have changed the menu at Kew and removed my all time favourite!! Haddock with spinach and a poached egg on top - I am distraught! PLEASE PLEASE put it back on the menu.
BTW I have been a Greedies fan for years having lived in Old Isleworth and now recently moved to Kew it was good to know there was excellent grub on the doorstep!

I just organised a birthday party in their function room and it was an unbelievably good night. Couldn't have asked for more. The food (substantial nibbles platters - Asian, Mediterranean & Fish) was the best I've tasted in a London pub - calamares fresh and tender. The room itself was just perfect, homely yet a bit stylish - fireplace, sofas, chandelier, wooden floors etc. The wine and beer - really really good. I've never held a party that so many people have commented on afterwards. The new owners just took over three months ago and they are right combination of friendly and professional. They will do well. Even the toilets are right next door. Couldn't recommend it more.

I recently did a little pub crawl around Kew Green, and popped into The Greyhound to check out what food they did after reading rave reviews on Qype.

After ordering a couple of drinks, and finding my glass of Vodka and coke was warm and smelt of dishwasher liquid, I can't say that I was tempted to stay for another drink.

The food menu seemed reasonable, with some tasty sounding items, including a sausage platter to share, but we decided we wasn't too keen on the ambience and would check out one of the other pubs.

I did note that it had a beer garden, so once the weather improves, that may come in handy!

This is the best pub around the Kew Green and serves up great meals, beer and wine. The extra bonus is the fab beer garden. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.

This is a dog friendly pub

Lovely location with great pub food. I particularly recommend the spicy meatball starter, but virtually everything on the menu is good. There is a nice patio out back which is almost always full, but great if you can bag yourself a table. In the evenings the place can get quite busy, but the lovely manager is very accommodating and goes out of her way to get you a table. The fact that this pub doesn’t show the usual football matches on TV means you can have a great drink and/or meal in a buzzing but pleasant environment. And best of all, on sunny days you can take your drinks out front (albeit in plastic cups) and sit on Kew Green.

Delicious meals in a really cool environment. The sunday lunches are amazing and huge although you will have to be quite early to get a seat. The location is great too, right on Kew Green.

The magnificent C19th fake Tudor exterior of this pub belies a rather small and disappointing interior, with a fair deal of wasted space in front of the bar, and a rather botched refurbishment leaving bare floorboards clashing mightily with a row of blue felt seats and a nasty yellowish-cream ceiling. On the plus side, it serves a decent range of beers, has a 1970s two-player arcade machine, a wide range of (rather expensive) food and an attractive-looking beer garden. The only other punters were some generously proportioned, potato-shaped men and an American tourist, but it does apparently get very crowded on a Friday and a Saturday. No TV, but it does have the whole eastern section of Kew Green as its front lawn, so it can be worth staring at that instead.
