This cinema is filthy and run down. Of the three ladies toilet stalls, two were so dirty as to be un-usable, and all really need a re-fit. Everything is really run down and shabby, apart from the screenng room we were in. Service at the food counter was painfully slow, but the most annoying thing was that the salsa sauce and the cheese sauce that came with the small portion of nachos was watered down and very liquid, never had that before anywhere! I am a regular cinema goer, but will avoid this particular cinema if at all possible.

Very much a tourist trap, I guess - ridiculously expensive (as probably most London cinemas).

The theater we were in was a bit weird - it had a center aisle as opposed to the usual two aisles on the left and right - so nobody had the possibility to sit in the dead center. The theater was also kind of small, as well as the screen.

The picture quality was good though, as well as the sound, so despite its high price we were able to enjoy the film.

Its the West End - so its always going to be expensive but if you feel like making a night of it, this is a pretty good cinema to go and get the full 'London cinema' experience. The seats are bigger and comfier than lesser Vues around the city but the tickets and popcorn are twice the price. One thing that does always irritate me is that the toilets are dotted on random floors so sometimes you find yourself having to dash out during a movie (thank you supersize Coke) and getting lost in the labrynth of escalators...

Not the best cinema in leicester Sq,
toilets are always last to be cleaned, popcord always left under seats in screens and staff never really wanna be working there..
for the high prices they charge for the food and tickets and the low wage they pay the staff (£5.20hr) could afford to up the cinema a bit!
i should know i used to work there!!
Long Live the Vue West end.

The vilest of cinemas...

Despite thousands of people walking through the doors on any one evening, the popcorn is perpetually stale, and the service abysmally slow (we wondered if the guy was braindead...)

The toilets are never truly clean, and the paper is often to be found somewhere on the sanitary bin instead of on its (broken, by now) base.

At a £12-a-seat ticket price, these guys could really do with a bit of an upgrade in their service offering.

Choose ANY other cinema on Leicester square. Really. Oh, and watch out which screen you're being sent to, some are quite small. £12 doesn't always get you a good viewing experience. And also there didn't seem to be reserved seating, which had the potential of being disastrous (but thankfully was fine).

Their rooms are quite small and they are very expensive and I consider it to be the second worst in Licester square after Odeon Mezzanine

good cinema but the japanese-looking man who works as an employee there was very rude to my kids. we went to see monsters vs. aliens last month and he was really rude to me and my 4 kids.

recently we saw him again at the ticket stand when we went to see coroline 3d and he again was very rude to my children. my kids are well behaved and alway smilin’. but my 6yr old kid came out crying after he shouted at all of them. maybe he doesn’t like polish people or something because he was very rude to my family and i overheard another polish customer who complained about this japanese man workin there.

i am a CEO of a marketing company and my family shouldn’t be treated like this it spoils the whole experience of goin’ to cinema

I recently went to a premiere at this cinema, which was a bit of a treat and good fun. There are loads of different screens. The one we were in on the ground floor had really comfortable seats and good views of the screen.

The foyer had jugglers and face painters and blue-screen photography, but it’s not normally like that!

There are escalators which take you up and down to the various screens, and loos on the top and bottom floors.

The only thing that put me off was the story about all the mice in the cinemas in Leicester Square, which run around nibbling the dropped popcorn! And I kept feeling something on my feet, which I hope was the girl sitting next to me accidentally kicking me. Otherwise there were some pretty big mice in there!

As far as Multiplexes go I found this place to be surprisingly good. I’m not a fan of West End cinemas but this is one of the best.

The prices are as expensive as you’d expect, but once in the whole building is very tidy, the staff are very friendly and they actually seem to care that you have a good time while you’re there.

The presentation of the films is excellent, with top notch sound and picture quality and whenever I’ve been the customers have been well behaved and have not talked all the way through, particularly surprising for a West End cinema.

The cinema is always a little busy as you’d expect given it’s location, but if you want to have a fun filmgoing experience, the West End Vue is well worth a visit.

I often go here using the cheap advance tickets available on LastMinute for £5.50.

This mulitplex cinema has lots of screens to show the most popular mainstream releases, although often doesn’t the biggest blockbuster if its also on at the Odeon West End. It also shows 3D films.

The central location near to several tube stations (Leciester Square, Picadilly Circus) makes it a good place to meet friends after work to catch a flick, and the Hagen Daas ice cream cafe is close by for a pre film treat.

I came here to see 'The Lake House’ (which I loved so much I bought the DVD afterwards!) I was shocked that it cost £11.50, but then, cinemas are almost all expensive nowadays. It was very comfortable and I was able to take in the coffee I’d bought at the nearby Starbucks.

£11.50 ! I’d want to see the film and get the DVD for that! (Maybe even a freebie t-shirt as well!)
Maybe it’s because I’m used to the special offers at all our nearby cinemas - usually about £4 a ticket.
    - I also remember getting in for a jam-jar, but we won’t speak about that!

I watched Iron Man here and had a great experience. Comfy chairs and a great sound system. The staf are very helpful, although the automated ticket system seems to confuse some older patrons.

Definitely go back to watch the new Indiana film.

Vue cinemas have the best deal on at the moment. From Monday to Thursdays, provided you book online at lastminute.com, you will get movie tickets for £4.25 each. These must be booked before 4pm on the day you want to see a movie and are valid at any Vue cinema for any performance on that day. Just take a copy of the confirmation email they send you with you to the cinema of your choice and exchange it for a ticket to see the movie you want to see. I can't believe how good value this is- it is seriously rivalling the Prince Charles Cinema!
