Review of Ask Restaurants from 24 April 2011

Terrible experience yesterday. Service s terrible. had to wait 40 minutes for starters and they arrived at different times. Waiter was gormless and very unapologetic. Food very average.

Have been there a few times in last few weeks and it's been terrible every time. My friend had uncooked salmon the first time and the second we waited 2 hours for a glass of wine!

TERRIBLE.

And people are definitely realising - half full restaurant on Saturday night in Reigate is virtually unheard of.

Review of Ask Restaurants from 4 July 2009

We visited Ask for the first time last week using a 2-for-1 voucher. We sat outside at the back of the property which was really nice. Service was friendly although not so efficient e.g. we were served quickly although many around us afterwards we not, and we also needed to pay at the front desk as we waited for a while without anyone being around. Wine was quite expensive ~£18 for a reasonable bottle. Food was hot and very tasty. A nice place to go, a good branch of ASK.

Really not a fan of this place.
It is in a beautiful building, but the food is just standard chain restaurant food. I like to think that a chef has put some effort into making the meal I’m paying for, not just whacked any old thing in the oven… which is the feeling I get in Ask.
That said, it’s fine if you’re just looking for a very quick bite to eat.

Review of Ask Restaurants from 23 November 2008

One thing I like about Ask is you always know what you’re going to get--a good, solid meal. Not quite gourmet, but really, really good nonetheless. The Reigate branch is in a beautiful old building, which adds to what has always been a pleasant dining experience. One warning--it can get quite busy on weekends, so you might want to either arrive early or pre-book.

Review of Ask Restaurants from 20 November 2007

Reigate is full of restaurants. Ask is one of the more classier establishments. When I was last here I was in a group of 10 people. The service provided by the waiting team was excellent, and we were not left waiting for too long.

As a restaurant it tends to favour an Italian menu, focusing on pizza and pasta. I went for the spaghetti carbonara and was mightily impressed. I always think a sign of a good restaurant is the fact that one is left adequately filled, but yet is still salivating for more.

It is probably an ideal type of romantic restaurant date type thing, as the setting and the mood of the lighting account for that in my view. But it is still a good place to go in a group, with a tasty menu.
