Review of Sovereign youth centre from 20 November 2008

As a child I went to many parties, and now the kids go, and We rent them for the kids birthdays. All the children that go come back red in the face and tired. Eccelent!!! You get the choice of 2 rooms for hiring, the main room includes a trampoline, mini football pitch, latge climbing frame/ ladders/ swing, giant bouncy slide, and bouncy castle with various attaches inflatable shapes.

I used to go to the soverign centre in my youth, and the place doesn’t seem to have changed much! The inside of the building is a bit tired looking but the facilities there are great. I took my son to a childs party there recently and was amazed at all the stuff they had there. The hall had loads of inflatables and a large trampoline, and the room next door had so much space for the kids to eat. Also a great bar area for the parents to sit and have a natter!!

This has to be the best place in the area for a child’s birthday party. It’s a very reasonable price and you get so much space! A huge sports hall with bouncy castles, a trampoline and room to play football too. A handy bar area with lots of seating. And another room too - which can be kitted out as a disco.

We’ve had several parties here and I can see that it will come into its own for teenagers’ parties too, with the fully equipped disco.

The staff are really friendly and helpful.

Review of Sovereign youth centre from 20 November 2007

As a child I used the Sovereign centre for many activities. People had many birthday parties there, I used to attend various youth clubs there, and also partook in Judo. There are many happy memories for me of that place!

It's main foundation is a youth club, to give kids somewhere to go. There is an outdoor concrete five a side football facility, indoor climbing frame and trampoline. I used to love mucking around on the climbing frame. There is also a small pitch with mats down that I used to spend ages on, making spectacular saves!

As an adult the main facilities to be used are the Judo and karate clubs. The judo club is well established and holds sessions on a Wednesday and Friday evenings. Judo is a great sport, which teaches many things, and provides an excellent workout. As a former member I would definitely say that it is particuarly worth going down there as they cater for all abilities in a welcoming, friendly manner.
