yes, a good night out if you have a large group of friends with you.
unfortunately the kind of thing that goes on here can be shoved in your face which isnt too nice.
i prefered the old smoking area downstairs and out the back, although maybe they have opened that now it is summer as it had sofas which couldve got wet. the new one is also downstairs but you have to go all the way to the top floor and through the clubbers to get to the queue and then go down some steep stairs, not th safest after a few drinks.
bouncers are terrifying, check innocent looking people for drugs and let the real druggies in.
their rules i suppose.

Sankey’s really is part of the very fabric of Manchester nightlife. Always busy, and almost always a great vibe on the night. It is very expensive; although not being all that big on going out all of the time, I for one don’t mind shelling out a bit more when I do venture out of my front room. It’s open very late (or should that be early?); again, as a complete homebody, I don’t really take advantage of this and am usually back in bed by around one.

Sankeys soap is a world famous clubbing venue which has seen the likes of jazzy jeff, groover armada, chemical brothers, roger sanchez etc. These kind of artists came pretty much every year.

With sell out nights, disappointed queues of people being turned away and huge international DJ's. It's a unique brand that needs no introduction. Even people who have never been to the place know what it's all about. This place is the only one of kind in manchester, it pulls in the big boys, has a loyal following and can easily sell out its 800 capacity crowd so therefore be sure to book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

Sankeys without doubt is one of Manchester's finest dance clubs. Has a long and established history and attracts big crowds. Has hosted some of the finest DJ's playing house and dance. Open through out the weekend. Nights often go into the early hours. Tibal sessions on a Friday is my preferred night but both Friday and Saturday nights are very popular. The club has recently undergone a massive refurbishment and now offers three different rooms of music. Sometimes there are large ques on entry, so to avoid disappointment book tickets online.
Sankeys also offers a Discobus to get to the Venue from some areas.
Rarely ever see any trouble, People always seem like they are up for a good time!

Sankeys has been in Manchester for quite some time and some might say it's Manchester's number one nightclub. Sankeys is without a doubt a dance club with plays dance and trance all night long, quite often played by their own in-house DJ's. The club itself holds loads of people and it has a massive dance floor that is always crammed full of people having a wicked night. Sankeys offers quite a lot of nights but my favourite is Tribal Sessions, if you get there on the right night then you might get to see some big names DJ.

Word of warning, Sankeys is ticketed most nights now make sure you get your tickets before hand, you can check the website for details. Some nights they sell out so i always get them in advance The club has been refurbished in recent years so its looking a lot better than it did years ago. The club looks really cool at the moment. Definitely worth a night out if you like it fast paced
