You just need to see ''the face'' of the bookshop outside - it's impossible not getting in. I follow all of the new book headlines and this is the place where I look for them. I've heard that they had  -10 % off on some days during December, but I couldn't take on this. Staff is very nice, positive and always very helpful.

This is my favourite bookshop. I know it holds hidden treasures. Staff is unbelievably accomodating. the setting is oldfashioned and romantic. You need time to read a book. This shop freezes time as soon as you enter it. Every time I visit I think that what I really want to do is work here. That should give you an idea.. the place is MAGIC!

Don’t be fooled by the size, this bookshop is not only stocked to the rafters but they will also often order you in books that you need or want if they don’t already have it on their shelves.
The man who owns it is super friendly and recognises all his regular customers and is often up for a little chat while you browse. His literary knowledge is expansive and you can always ask him to recommend you a new book based on ones you have previously enjoyed.
The store also hosts a number of events such as book signing (I met JK Rowling!) and reading groups for children in the area.

Located in the heart of Dulwich Village, Village Books is small but stocks a great range of books - downstairs has a great range of childrens books as well as fiction, both bestsellers and classics. Upstairs covers biography, cooking, history, art, philosophy and lots of travel guides. It's a nice place to browse for a half hour or so and if you're looking to get a present you're bound to find something suitable. The staff are friendly and helpful and will order books quickly.
