One of the best beaches in the uk, it may not be sandy and its may not be filled with romantic sand dunes , there may not be a prom and there is very few ice creams around but this beach is special in many ways.
It feels very old fashioned and very family friendly. Theres so much to do you can learn to sail or windsurf, you can stroll along the shore, and venture into the small town and sample of the many quaint gift shops ar one of the delicious tea rooms that do fantastic tasty cakes...try tea and times.
The beach is lined with cute beach huts that sell for as much as houses in some towns but whitstable is famous for them, The choice of places to eat nearby is vast there the oyster reastaurant onthe beach which is the obvious choice and well worth while.
The only downside is that it has suffered recently from a london overspill but you can avoid this if you visit in winter, the cold and dark weather somehow adds to the charm of this beautiful place.
