Wow! heaven for sweet lovers, chocolate lovers, kids and big kids alike!
the location of the shop is excellent, vibrant Covent Garden, its clean, nice and inviting. It can get pretty busy there but the staff is attentive and kind.
The have amazing flavours and products to try, and its from all over the world! wonderful experience.
I just love this shop, clean bright and friendly… plus they sell Baby Ruth bars so that gets my seal of approval… It is a little overpriced, but I suppose for Covent Garden that is to be expected, but if you feel like spoiling yourself head here!!!
I love this store. It always has a really wide range of goodies to choose from and you'll always find something new to try (if you haven't already).
If you're after delicious treats from America, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand or even your home turf if you're from the UK, this is mostly definitely the place for you. The prices are decent if you consider the fact that the items are imported - if you're complaining, you should know that imports are always going to be that little bit more expensive due to all the shipping costs. There's also a lot of rare candy in stock here - for example, a lot of Japanese candy is seasonal and can only be found at certain times of the year!
A bonus comes in the form of super friendly and informative staff. They're always willing to help and they'll happily recommend something delicious for your sweet tooth. (I should know, I work there! :D)
Although my son enjoyed looking around this shop, his visit was however upset by the attitude of a particular member of staff. When my son asked for a certain product the answer he received was "Get with the programme if it's not on the shelf we don't sell it". Not only am I extremely angry that my son was spoken to in this manner but the company itself appear to ignore complaint e-mails as I still haven't had a reply or apology.
If your looking for something new this is the place to be !
Just Awesome!
its hard to add onto all thats been said here already, and its no surprise that a place this cool would prompt so many reviews. I happened upon the store on a random day out and have since been recommending it to all the inner-children I know.
I discovered this place just last week. Imagine my joy when I found out I could get chocolate covered pretzels in milk chocolate and White fudge flavour. I know they used to sell them here in regular stores but stopped for some reason. Then I could only ever get them when I went to the states. As if that wasn't enough whilst queueing at the till to purchase said pretzels, I stumbled upon a huge bag of peanut butter M&M's. I also bought fudgie wudgies and went home £10 worse off, or better off depending on how you look at it. Cute little store with friendly staff and a funky atmosphere. I need to tame myself not to go there too often as it will be bad for my pocket and my waistline :)
Fab place to bring out your inner kid. Guarantee you will come out with pockets bulging, but probably a tenner or two lighter in the wallet department.
Full selection of jelly beans, swedish fish and weird things like insects in sugar.
Amazing place to discover! Sweets and goodies from around the world - great to redicover something from far away you thought you'd never see again.
And also Pez.
FANTASTIC shop. I
I recommend anyone going to London to pop in there. Lovely shop!
A goldmine for anyone that has an addiction to E numbers and sugar highs. The combination of sweets from around the world, especially US favourites and retro staples, makes for a tooth-rottingly pleasant experience. Whether it's lurid coloured candy or masses of chocolate you won't be able to leave this place empty handed.
And Cyber Candy have also picked up on that because they've made everything silly expensive. So by all means stock up on sugary crack but enjoy every mouthful for the price you pay.
Cyber Candy Covent Garden is an amazing sweet shop. The range of sweets, chocolates and soft drinks is truly impressive. Nearly all of the products they sell are not generally available in the UK. I nip in for a Mountain Dew (or Mtn Dew as it seems to be called now) whenever I'm passing.
The reason I have rated CyberCandy 4 stars and not 5 starts is due to their prices. I know they are located in a Central London tourist hotspot where everything is expensive, but that is no excuse for the high prices. They could easily reduce their prices a bit and still make a hefty profit.
Walking down Covent Garden I just happened to see this shop across the road, my eyes lit up when I saw the sweets I used to love when I was a kid. Its what dreams are made off, great sweets from usa, japan, down under and places i never heard off. I must visit shop for candy lovers!
I should start by saying that I'm not a sweets fan. I'll have cocoa beans over refined sugar cane, any day. And, guess what? They cater to that too!!
Having lived all over the place, I am happy to be able to get some of my favourite things. Milka chocolate goodies (from Belgium), Coffee Crisp (from Canada), and Hershey's with almonds and caramel (again, canada) to name a few.
My sugar-fiend boyfriend is always ecstatic when we stop here, as it allows him to refuel his stash of sugary goodness. I just head straight for the choccies...
Must admit I am disappointed in one thing. They do not have any of the amazing Carambar (from France) or any Lu buscuits (NOM! again from France). I hope they bring some soon. They're definitely missing from the mix. And carambar is more of a sugary thing. There's no chocolate in it. It's more toffee-like.
For the brits out there, in Canada we call anything sugary "candy". That doesn't normally include chocolatey things, just sugar-infested tooth-rotting artificially-coloured goodies. And this shop has plenty of those lovely things... as well as Chocolate! (hurrah!)
I defy anyone who isn't utterly cold-hearted not to completely fall for Cyber Candy. Not only does it combine the sweets of your childhood, it contains the sweets of EVERYONE'S childhood. From proper Taffy to Tam Tams and Hello Kitty Twixs, if you're pining after some home candy you'll more than likely find it here, along with many new variants. There's even a drinks fridge if you get a Mountain Dew urge.
It isn't very cheap, but what price is nostalgia? Just make sure you don't get caught up in your enthusiasm and find you can't pay...
I love this little shop.. if only they sold more candy from other countries.
I almost raided the shop the first time I went here. I was amazed and how many different candy and chocolates there were from different countries. I found alot of the American candy that I loved and my boyfriend found the Mountain Dew drinks he loved.
Loved the chocolate popping candy. Felt like I was a little kid again lol
Great little candy store...
Like everyone else has mentioned, it's quite expensive but you're paying for a bunch of products that are really rare to find
Its worth while just having a tester
Your dentist might hate you for it, but this place is a dream for the sweet-toothed and thick-walleted. For the not-so-rich, you could all too easily come away with holes in your bank balance as well as your teeth.
It's far from cheap, but it's a great place for a poke about, and you'll almost always find something that takes your fancy - either because it's weird and quirky enough to intrigue you, or because it prompts a drooling nostalgia-fest as you reminisce over romanticised childhood memories of golden days gone by in which you feasted on Reeces Peanut Butter Cups with wild abandon and no thought for possible consequences of any kind.
Great array of weird and wonderful confectionery, always well-stocked and a good one to remember if you ever need a unusual gift for a discerning candy-consumer.
Cyber Candy is saving the sugary tooth needs of a world of expats. Considering the size of the store I'm not surprised that I have never seen it empty- and somehow I've never seen it understocked... hmm there's magic in this spot I tell you!
Thanks to Cyber I've been able to introduce peopel to all kinds of gems, Reeces Peanut Butter Breakfast Cereal form USA- teh breakfast of diabetics I imagine! Timtam's, Cherry Ripes, Twislers... actually have to stop here lest I drool on my keyboard.
Like everyone else has mentioned, it's very expensive here ( I paid £1.50 for a peanut butter Twix) but you're paying for a bunch of products that are really rare in the UK!
It's a retro confectionery fan's dream shop, and has a little something for anyone who's a tad geeky.
MissRachelle It does kill your budget- but it's really I'd do anything for some home style sugar.
