I am a member of the spa and would like to update this review. It was posted 3 years ago !and it certainly is not like that now. The staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The management team welcome feedback and the only thing I would say is if you are booking to stay at the Hotel book ahead some Espa treatments with Boom..she is amazing and gets booked up. Buy some of her delish products and enjoy the whole experience. The pool and jacuzzi are bigger than most and water aerobics and Yoga great fun. The gyms had the latest equipment and access to personal trainers too.

We love this place..sunday lunches/ wedding anniversary/ meeting friends at the Bar or afternoon tea in front or their lovely fire..Fresh coffee and service with a big smile always. We tried one of their Tribute cabaret nights..choosing Rod Stewart and it was a wonderful experience. The reception with champagne , the circular tables for 10 meant we quickly made friends ..the food beautifully presented and the discounted bed and breakfast afterwards was first class. As we use them often (we stayed there for New Years day and had a suite) they gave us a free upgrade.
I joined the Gym and Spa with its big pool. jacuzzi Steam room and sauna. The staff there very encouraging and people of all ages are on their membership. I chose a Monday to Friday option that costs me £50 a month and I get 4 free passes a year for a guest to join me. Best of all 25% of the retaurant and Bar...we had our wedding lunch at this beautiful Hotel and go there regularly ever since.

Great hotel, family normally stay in Hilton hotels but this hotel didn't disappoint. Breakfast was very good with a good selection, didn't try the evening menu though it looked good. The milk & cookies in the evening for the children was a nice touch. Swimming pool & spa facilities were good too.
