What a shame it is that The End is going to be no longer come 2009. This legendary club almost cemented itself alongside the Fabrics and Ministry Of Sounds of the world, but somehow we are destined to lose it.
The point of me writing this review is that if you’ve not been yet, then you should really take time out of your nightlife schedule and visit this special place.
Situated under the ground in Bloomsbury settings, the End has paved careers for the likes of Erol Alkan and a whole host of others who played legendary nights down here. The End is split into two rooms so you’ll always have a choice of music, and the sound system vibrates through your entire body.
Crowds vary from night to night with the city types, urban kids, and ultra cool indie kids all passing through the doors in blissful unison. Do something good with your night before we lose it.

Afterall this time I’ve still not made it into The End nightclub, however I’ve been to their AKA bar numerous times over the years including just recently - and it’s still a good night out. Free entry to AKA before 9pm & a happy hour till then - bonus! It’s decently sized that does get PACKED from 9pm onwards, however you can reserve a lounge area along one of the walls (opposite the long bar on the other side) that makes it good value for a night out for a group of friends wanting decent music. I thought the drinks were reasonably priced (standard for London) but the best bit is the music / dj - saturday nights are good & considering you can stay there till the morning with just the cost of your drinks hitting your wallet - I think it’s a great value/quality venue.
Good mix of people as well all wearing different clothing - from suited types to electro dance kids. Only let down in my opinion is the fact it has TINY bathrooms - 4 toilet cubicles with queues winding out the door & up an already busy/small staircase - not very well designed or planned out.
Shame to see it close next year, hopefully for London a new venue with as good a music policy will replace it in a location as convienient as this club/bar!

The comedy night, Laughing Boy Comedy, on the first Thursday of the month (I think) is excellent. I was there last night and the atmosphere was brilliant. Small enough to be intimate, with big name acts and open slots available. Hightly recommended.

I’ve been clubbing here regularly for the last 10 years. I’ve been to some amazing parties over the years will have many fond memories for years to come. It is a huge loss that the place is closing down next year.
What makes this club easily the best in London? For a start, the music - on a par with Fabric for quality. Laurent Garnier’s marathon sets are the stuff of legend and Monday night’s Trash parties will be remembered for launching Erol Alkan to superstardom.
Secondly, it’s the clubbers’ club. It’s owned and run by clubbers, not gangsters. This makes all the difference. The sound system is awesome. The layout and interior of the club and AKA bar above are fabulous. There is a very good air conditioning system. The drinks are actually quite reasonable contrary to what some other reviews have stated. And there is a water fountain from which to refill for free - a really nice touch. It’s the attention to detail which makes all the difference.
Lastly, it’s the atmosphere. There is no dress code. There is a really good mix of different ages, styles and skin colours. The women there are intelligent, witty, stylish and approachable. People in the know go there because it’s a guaranteed great party every time.
I’ve been clubbing all over the world for 20 years and I have to say I have not found a club to rival this one. Many will mourn its passing and it is yet another death nell for London clubbing following the recent closures of the Cross, the Key and Turnmills.

The End is, one of the greatest clubs in London. Saturday night is excellent but it’s definitely worth checking out what’s on as the line-ups vary greatly in music genre. It is quite big, so not a cosy little club but not big enough to lose your mates- perfect size inf act. The clientele is great, and most people are just happy to be there so they tend to be friendly.
I heard it may be shutting down though, so best to check before you head there.

Always a good night here, doesn’t matter which night. They have everything from drum n bass on a monday to breaks on a thursday to electro and house every weekend. Layo and Bushwacka! have done some epic sets here over the years.

Best club in London hands down if you love good quality/big name/loud music/down and dirty dance, techno and electro.
With the calibre of resident DJs you get at The End, you can’t be wrong. Laurent Garnier, Groove Armada etc - you get the world’s best.
Drinks are overpriced, but the sound system and big party nights make it worth it. Everyone needs to lose their weekend to The End at least once.

Ok, right, I’m not a clubber.
In my rather hectic youth I did all that stuff, and I would’ve understood all the things written in all the other reviews of this place.
However, I am a boring person these days and I prefer sleep to notsleep.
I came here for an awards party. There was a free bar that ran out (minus a half star) and the cloakroom cost £1.50 (minus a half star). It seemed like a pretty cool venue though, and it was packed. Choc-a-bloc. Rammed.
Another downside was the fact that there was a distinct odour of, shall we say ‘toilet’, coming up from the toilets which they tried to mask with incense sticks. I suffered a double blow from this, as I could clearly smell shit and the incense fell on me and burned my arm (minus a star).

the end is a medium size club in london central that stands out of the posh places in the west end.
the end offer a host of thematic nights, so you better check out what’s on before you go to make sure you turn up to the party it best suits you. essentially, they do electronic and drum and bass, but it changes a lot and they open every day, so visit the website, endclub, that, by the way is just renewed into a online community whre you can make friends and share your interests and views.
i use to go to some nights, like border community or laurent garnier. i would have gone to minus if it wasn’t byt the fact that was impossible.
the security guys won’t be your best friends, and will not hesitate to call the police if they fancy. the end have found it works for them. but, anyway, you should not give reasons to call, so look what you do.
simply put, the end is a good place to consider in your checklist. maybe a bit unfocused, trying to please everyone, but with sound nights from time to time. another must in london nightlife
