The Star is one of the best places to go for food in Highgate, it's of such good quality you'd be forgiven for mistaking it for a restaurant that serves real ale. The furnishings are top class, some of the nicest furniture you'll find in a pub anywhere in London, and decidedly comfortable but it manages to retain this quality and have a friendly welcoming atmosphere, it's not just for the big spenders here. The list of Real ales is absolutely superb as well, an ale drinkers paradise. Can't recommend this place highly enough, just go and see it for yourself. Stunningly good, might have to go back tonight now I've written this...
