One of Wetherspoons better pubs,very good ales, nice mix of young old,food really good.

Standard Wetherspoons pub, with a good selection of ales, decent, cheap food and comfortable seating. There isn’t really much to distinguish the SH from any other wetherspoons, but there’s nothing wrong with it, and it’s a lot better than some of the pubs in the area.

This is a very large Wetherspoons, and generally also a very busy one. The bar can get rammed on weekend nights, but it's so long you won't often be waiting for a drink.

As with all pubs in this chain, it is very cheap, and given its size, the food can sometimes be a little lack lustre. However, the one thing this pub really does cater for is large work parties or internet meet ups, as they have huge meeting tables at the back of the pub.

Given the size of the pub they could do with a few more toilets in the ladies, but again, the size of this place is its real asset. Given the area as well, the Shakespeare's Head functions as a good landmark meeting place, as it is just a few doors down from Holborn tube station.
