W,H, Smith, the probably best...and last... of the rapidly disappearing English language bookstores in Paris...due to the world economic disaster. And thank the Heavens for it! In addition, it has some favorite British treats. Hopefully, this year I´ll find a mince pie there to celebrate a Dickensian Pasris Christmas.

A rather old-fashioned Smiths (books organised under “fiction”, “crime” etc, rather than the shelf after shelf of “tragic life stories” found in the contemporary UK branches) with a good selection of English language journals and papers. Upstairs, a small range of UK food and drink at at hair raising prices — stick to the books and papers

the obvious choice for new english books - extensive selection but, as can be expected, not cheap. i come here to satisfy my random yet intense cravings for american magazines - no need to buy them, i just hang out and flip through my favorites, no one really seems to mind…

If you are looking for typical english books and series, this is the place to go to! They have a wide range of books, for childrens, as well for adults! And if they don't have it they can always order it! Every salesman is fluant in English, so if you have any questions you will be able to ask them in french and in English!
