But do tell me - have they stopped serving the 7 deadly sins?

The pub describes that they do “the best fish in mayfair” well I really think they have a point. Loved the cod father! Yum yum

Used to be a great place, one of my favourites, now kinda average and boring. Food is not bad but the whole atmosphere is ruined.

Nice average traditional pub off Oxford Street.
It opens at 10 am. They have seats outside.
This pubby pub offers two real ales (Greene KIng IPA & London Pride) and has 3 handpumps.
Average range of drinks and friendly enough service.

This used to be one of the Eerie pub chain but is 'normal’ now and not all that great any more. It has a good location, just off Oxford Street, so is handy for shopping breaks but that is all it has going for it. The food is distinctly average and the staff a bit surly.
RIP Eerie Pubs.

I have given this pub such a poor ranking, due to the recent re-fit that they have had.
IT IS NO LONGER THE “SPOOKY” PUB PEOPLE!
It is just a normal pub now, and after being inside, it really has no character or atmosphere. It feels almost clinical!
It is a pity, 'cos I really enjoyed the spooky theme. Although it was kitch, it was bloody fun! And now its really rather shite (pardon my French).
There are no locals, just lots of people stopping by from Oxford St, and on occasion, a small group of baffled goths wondering where their pubs gone!
Unfortunetly there are no other pubs really close-by, but do try and go on to the next one, there are tonnes within a 10 minutes (or less!) walk away.
Even a new “head” of Mr Marlborough has been painted on the sign.

FluffyB, 5 May 2010:
This pub is very original in its decor, and has quite a goth feel to it, without you feeling that you need to have 20 piercings to drink there. There is quite a surprise that I wont’ ruin for you, but adds to its appeal.
It gets very busy, but you don’t usually have to wait too long at the bar. Occasionally the bar staff are a bit stroppy, but mostly you don’t get that.
Its very much an after work bar, and you tend to get a lot of bond street suit kind of people, which is definitely a downside to this place. It also gets too busy that you can’t find a seat after 6.30 to 7pm.
Overall its a great little venue.

This place is amazing!
I needn’t describe it - that’s been done. But I found the ‘7 deadly sins’ cocktails ridiculously cheap - especially when bought by the jug. Not to mention the fact that they are delicious, divine.
One down side: in the daytime, it is filled with odd, stuffy people who make you feel uncomfortable for being there… but I shan’t hold it against the pub, I think those are simply the type of people who drink in the middle of the afternoon (and serves me right for drinking at that time too).

Part of the Eerie Pub Chain, the Marlborough Head is the big sister pub to Ben Crouch’s Tavern located down in Fiztrovia.
Located close to Marble Arch, the pub attracts a great number of tourists and has a high staff turnover. It spans two floors, a mixture of cosy nooks and long, open tables, so a good pub for many occasions.
The downstairs has a huge picture wall, featuring an old bookcase in which hides the toilets. The only hint that they are there is a gold sign on the floor, so do watch out or you’ll feel silly when asking for directions!
Drinks are quite pricey, but this is due to the location rather than the quality. The wine menu is a bit sparse, but the beer is numerous and they do a wide selection of soft drinks.
Food is quite standard - fish and chips, burgers, salad, but all well cooked and served quickly.

I absolutely love this pub. Everything about it is so unique, exciting and fun. It is very 'halloween' themed, with very inventive names for drinks, and very spooky toilets, even accompanied with spooky noises! there are always really great people inside and everyone is always having a good time, so join the spooky party!

this place is on a shelf of its own. with toilets that looks like bookcases and old wooden electrical chairs hanging from the ceiling and cocktails named after the 7 deadly sins, this place is not for the faint hearted. unfortunately only 3 stars from me because of normally quite rude staff and slighly overpriced drinks (pint of fosters £3.40 last time i went 2007) ((i think i should be illegal to charge more than £2.70 for fosters))
otherwise it's a great place with heaps of interesting things to look at and the food is not too shabby either.
