Does anyone remember the movie "Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150 AD"? In this film, the rebel hideout is identified as Embankment station. I always thought this was fascinating when i was a kid when we walked down villiers street to embankment. It felt a bit like a march on the enemy as we trampled down the cobbled street. God i'm a nerd......

Lots of great shops dotted around the station. The florist is very nice and you're never short of places to grab a coffee or a quick snack.

Places to eat - Wasabi, Gordon's
Places to drink - Gordon's wine bar, Ha Ha Bar
Places to pee - Starbucks or the public loos at charing cross (20p)
