Chopsticks Restaurant

As a Chinese food fiend, i find okay Chinese restaurants and take always easy to find...but GOOD ones, let alone EXCELLENT ones - are like hidden gems. Even more so when they are all you can eat. And chopsticks is definitely one of the few Chinese hidden gems. Located on Cowley Road chopsticks is highlighted with a slightly tacky facade - epitomised by a Bright red garish sign. But the food is no garish matter. Inside the restaurant looks fairy small but it opens up out back into two more rooms. I always wondered where all the many people i saw enter would sit! The odd fish tank here or there, it is not overly decorated, it is not posh - but it is clean, not too small and yet cosy. The waiters are lovely and very attentive, although they are not snapping away your empty plates as soon as they here the 'ching' from yor fork landing. The menu - yes menu - for all you can eat is filled with flavoursome delights, all quite different from the next. Firstly you choose the starters - 3 for 2 of you from a choice of about ten including prawn rolls, chinese chicken wings, seaweed and spring rolls. You eat and enjoy and then they ask if you would like more. The starters are always so tasty that i usually end up obliging much to my poor weighing scales horror! You then have an intermediate choice of duck or lamb and pancakes or some satay dishes. I have tried and all (as i said this is my favourite restaurant) are absolutely delicious. Although most people have duck, it really is worth trying the lamb. Its very well done and melts in the mouth - but then, i cannot fault the duck wither! Then for mains you have a choice of countless prawn, chicken, beef, pork, vegetarian or sizzling dishes and i have yet to try one that i do not like.
Please go and try this restaurant if you are a lover like i of chinese food. You will not be disappointed. And for £13 - it hardly breaks the bank!
