Bar Albatros

Just back from Port de Soller. Had two evening meals at Albatros. Both very good and reasonably priced. 50 euros for 8 tapas plus a decent bottle of house wine and soft drinks for our two children. Tapas are priced from 2 - 12 euros, including many local dishes. Live accoustic music every night from 8 pm. A really good atmosphere sitting by the harbour-side with those great views across the bay. It was the busiest bar-restaurant along the front on the Saturday night by far. The owner (Phillipe?) was flying around from mid evening and very helpful. Free Wifi if you take a laptop. Several people making the most of it. We'll be back!

I have been to Port de Soller a couple of times, and this has been the worst dining experience so far. The tapas were cold (although they meant to be hot), the chicken was not eadible at all. Obviously, the place was packed with people, the others were just having drinks; they probably knew what to expect.

I have been in this place two times. First time I had lunch and we waited for half an hour to get a calamari that was cold inside because it hadnt spend enough time in the microwave. Service poor price high.

Second time I was there was just for a drink (or cocktail which they adverticed on a huge sign). Turn out that they actually only had one cocktail primarily build up on orange (fresh !) but they didnt apply enough ice so it was a mixed thing. Again service was reserved and not very welcomming. Why do they run this business.
