Look up this during a bored moment, as the California is my favourite restuarant in Nerja. I’ve been to many. Scarlettas used to be my favourite, which I believe it next door but one to the California, but had a very stroppy waitress experience so gone off the place. The owners and staff at the California bend over backwards to make your meal enjoyable. The prices are very reasonable, the quality of the food is first class, and I would say the menu is quite varied. If you want Spanish cuisine, go elsewhere though. Great for families, and couples alike. Go up to the top floor on the open terrace, which overlooks the beautiful car park LOL. Highly recommend it. I’m going back in August, and shall be visiting the California many times.

One of my best loved places to eat in spain,nerja is a quiteish place in spain not far from malaga,this resturant is on the main road on the way down to the balcon.
The resturant is on 2 floors,ask for the roof so u can just watch everyone go by from your candle lit table.
The menu is small and well done,burgers and steaks,fish and prawns etc and good old puddings....be warned the portions for mains are huge and one between 2 is more than enough..
Friendly staff and a good laugh too...cheaper than the uk by far and drink too.
Just go.
