As a LIPA student, I often come here for breakfast on my way into college and I love the cheap prices; we’re talking £1.99 for a full English!! Drinks and food are cheap here and good quality and the service is friendly. It gets very packed here in the evenings and on the weekends and I like the booth seating and jukebox, which really add to the local, fun feel.

This is a friendly little pub, a favourite for Students, Musicians and locals alike due to its central location. They have a selection of ales as well as a fully stocked bottle bar. Food is your usual cheap pub grub but always served with a smile from breakfast all the way through to 1545.

The long table and booth style seating arrangements make this pub very socialable and a great place to start your night off.

Highly recommend

The Pilgrim is a real hit with the locals and students, the attraction is the cheap beer, good atmosphere and a variety of music. The real positve of this place is the cheap food made in the cantine like kitchen towards the back of the pub. The cooks are all friendly when they serve you and its much like being cooked for by your mum!

Its a great place to meet friends before a big night out, or simply go for a quite pint two.

One night in particular is the 'open mic' on a sunday, this allows for some of liverpools more colouful characters to showcase their singing talents which makes for an enjoyable evening.

Overall an excellent local, with cheap beer, and a relaxed atmosphere.

The Pilgrim is a hidden gem. Situated on Pilgrim Street, just off Hardman Street, this pub is an absolute classic and is popular with students and locals alike.

The bar itself is a cross between a German beer hall and a shed. There is a good selection of real ales and bargain spirits - perfect if washed down with some pork scratchings and a few choice tunes from the fantastic jukebox.

The bar itself could probably do with a lick of paint, but it is just full of atmosphere and is the perfect place to sink a few pints after lectures or tutorials.

The Pilgrim is also extremely well-known for its legendary full english breakfast and is absolutely fantastic value.

There are a few other traditional bars nearby, so make sure you check them out too...for the brave, why not pop into Ye Cracke?

As for the Pilgrim, it's a true Liverpool institution - try it out!
