all good in the restaurant which is a franchise and not the hotel. cheerful staff, clean good food served well and not at all expensive.Lovely surroundings in the restaurant looking out onto the meadow opposite. good parking. clean toilets. what more do you want?
I've not eatern in the restaurant or stayed in the hotel, but I've had a drink in the bar quite a few times - and it's very nice indeed. It has a cosy, autumnal feel to it, with lots to look at on the walls and a nice view of Epping Forest towards the back. And the beer garden makes it a decent summer option as well.
