Probably the best ham sandwich i have ever eaten. The weihnachtsmarkt is full of fantastic eateries, and so far, i have to say that Schlüters Alpenwelt is the best of the bunch. They do a load of different snacks here. Bratwurst, Goulash etc. But it's the ham sandwiches that draw the crowds.

Next time i'll be getting 2! :)

I was literally in sandwich heaven when I discovered this place last night. It was a freezing, dark, wet, cold, Hamburg night, and the rain was driving us to shelter under the eves of the Christmas Market. I happened upon Schlüters Alpenwelt and saw the most delicious glazed giant ham imaginable, and just had to try some. Lashing of steaming hot meat with pork crackling and mustard, stuffed into a fresh brown roll. And all for €4.50. I was back today for lunch...
