The setting is exceptional: The bar, Turner’s painting in the hall, the elevator’s access to the terrace.The bar, a few speciality cocktails and nibbles with a few surprising classic ones. ( ie a simple Campari with oranje for example)- the restaurant: the service is not very attentive and efficient and the food is medioca.( average reputation)The terrace is a unique place to be on a sunny evening, the food is edible but nobody comes to clear your plate. Be careful- you do need to book at least three days in advance. ( The restaurant calls you on the morning of your booking to ensure you are still coming. The clientelle: Stephanie is very kind as there are a few stories of quite exceptionally rude customers….. who make this special place what it is.
